Almost.....needs at least some orange or turquoise accents on the fork and a Sharpie needs to meet and destroy those hideous Maxxis logos.

Bike of the day or Advertising? I prefer real life bikes not bike shop advertising. Anyway the SB150 is a dream bike shame there is no wheight.

The best BOD for me are bikes on beautiful places, bikes with some mud, some scratches and personalized colors and stickers. Take any brand new top end bike from the shop and for shure will be BOD. I love when the owner of the BOD explain the details off the bike... For me the SB150 is the most beautiful Enduro bike, I just don't like the text, I don't want to know if it's paid or not but this BOD looks advertising since the bike has no owner. Anyway it's beautiful.

Thanks for the comments on the bike. The bikes we post are client builds, just prior to delivery. Many of our clients won't post them up themselves, so we like to share builds from time to time on Vital for viewers to enjoy.

Strictly an editorial decision, no advertising involved here at all. If you follow BOD you'll know that we tend to favor owner posts (preferably with muddy bikes!), but every now and then we'll run a sick build from a shop if we think the bike is worth sharing. Clearly this one meets the drool-worthiness criteria...

I am building mine up with an X2 (more pop, easier to get the sag right), but that orange spring looks sexy. Is there a recommondation from Yeti on the spring? On their website I only found recommondations for air setting.
Now please show us more photos, especially the Chris King parts and the cockpit.

Thanks for the comment George - I didn't get too many shots of the cockpit, we needed to get it boxed and headed out to it's new home quickly! The bars were Yeti Carbon with a Race Face Stem as well as Ergon GE1 grips.

sorry added the comment before the coil question... We work with FOX to help determine coil setup. It's not uncommon for riders to end up with a couple steel coils while dialing in the best spring rate for them - depends on a wide range of factors. If you have any specific questions reach out our sales team is happy to help!

We got this one in a box (shipping it to its new home) too quick and didn't weigh the build. I weighed our Large X01 SB150 demo bike (air suspension, no pedals) and it came in at 30.43lb for a reference point.

Got to ride one with a Fox air shock this weekend down the 4 mile descent that is Kitsuma. I made a lot of mistakes that it made up for, but most 150mm bikes would on that trail.
It was my first ever 29er ride. $7500 bike w/ some Minions front and back. I had fun cause it was a free bike, but I didn't get to ride one of their 27.5 bikes which I think I'd have had more fun on. The bike just rolled over everything but in panic turns (and there are lots on the trail), it just took longer arcs and didn't want to lean as much as a 27.5.
I'm barely 5'10 with super short legs and a super long torso and the sizing was actually perfect for me in a LARGE frame.
But like I said...I don't like the turning characteristics and the way the bigger wheel just kind of makes everything tame. Most trails aren't chock full of monster death and I was kind of bored on sections I'd have been getting rowdy on in the past. Took some of the fun out of my ride.

Good Morning Lance - Thanks for the question. More and more tires are designed with a 30-35mm rim as the "new" normal. The added volume allows lower PSI which improves traction - unless - the side knobs of the tire become too vertical at which point you can override them if you have high cornering angles. For someone looking for maximum cornering traction (not berms, but flat corners where you engage the side knobs) a 2.4 or 2.5 option with more substantial side knobs would be awesome. If you wanted something that rolled a bit faster - and frankly if you get the hang of over riding the side knobs you can more easily "back in" to corners, or break the rear end free without brakes, which can be fun too! Really comes down to what you're looking for out of your tires
