Troy Lee has always produced good protective equipment, but some of the slimmest knee guard options have historically been a bit on the flimsy side (the original “Speed Sleeve” wasn’t exactly a great design, let’s say…). I ran the cnc machines that made all of the linkage parts on that bike- some of the last GT's truly handmade in the USA. Back then GT had their R&D facility in Longmont, CO, and that's where these bikes were dreamed up and built, in addition to where their titanium frames were handmade. Very nice build! Also, interesting to see that shimano i-spec ev dropper lever is compatible with the xt brake because I thought it was only for the xtr's.
