Pure speculation from earlier on in the thread, at the end of 2017 he resigned with Yeti for "X" number of years. Fun to throw shite at the wall and see what sticks eh? Rude to Mongoose to fill Akrigg's spot.

In my opinion, the social (esp IG) influencer personality and content has a shelf life. People are going to catch on to how disingenuous it is, and it’s going to become more and more transparent how ‘advertisey’ it is. When we make a move to work with someone of any stature, be it mega pro to local ripper / good person their social reach is far from a metric we place value on. It might seem ridiculous but we place human contact and interaction value so far beyond any social bs. I find it a shame that so many companies...

Is there really any good reason for Yeti to sink a bunch of money into a DH program? If they want to waste that kind of cash, I'll simply send them my address... Send me a bunch of bikes and a paycheck and I'll guarantee almost zero return on investment..

It's actually pretty simple: Kyle rose to fame as a freeride prodigy, but he always felt his roots were in racing. I actually saw him ride in person at the 2004 Worlds in Les Gets, where Flo Payet won, coming in third and besting my favorite, Ben Reid, by a mere 0.001 seconds. Kyle was heading to Meersburg, Germany for a freeride event called ”Ride to the Lake” (probably the first contest done by Rasoulution) and he had a freeride-heavy agenda. He was a Red Bull athlete and an up and coming young rider, an industry darling. At some point...

Overheard this from a friend, I do not support or condone his analogy: [i]There are some, not all, that feel as if MTBing is/was a private club...access to that exclusive club has been money, trails, time and most of all; some fitness and a mindset to dig in to your depths of psych to test your mind and body to get to the top of the mountain. In that last point, there is ego, narcissism, addiction, etc....(again, for some, not all) and with the assist bikes, you have removed the last point I mentioned and the members of the exclusive...

What is it that makes a bike fun? What do we require it be capable of? What boxes must it check? Pedaling, pumping, jumping, climbing, descending? Surviving, encouraging, enjoying? The list could be a mile long and will vary from bike to bike and rider to rider. Hopping on the Transition Scout, a mid-travel trail/all-mountain bike with Transition's Speed Balanced Geometry (SBG) and GiddyUp 2.0HH suspension, we expect some fun will be had. Will it check all our boxes though? Strengths Weaknesses Great cornering feel and performance Quieting yet lively over chunky descents Doesn't lose much speed or hang up...

I have both a Scout and a carbon Sentinel, they weigh about the same, 32'ish lbs. The Scout loves to party, I'd ride that bike anywhere and down anything. It may not be light but I think it climbs awesome, power on the pedals and it keeps going. On the downs, as long as you aren't doing stuff that needs tons of suspension, i trust it doing anything, the Geo is spot on and it gives tons of confidence to push your skills. The Sentinel, on the other hand, really only loves it hard, rough and fast, there's no gently...

Danny Hart manual at 5:40...that was the single most aggressive move in the whole clip. Just a vertical wheelie at full speed slamming a rock water bar & sucking it up like a sponge!!! Would love to see a slo mo of that move

Anyone else notice how Finn/Loic is using a lot more of their fork's stroke especially in higher speed type stuff? Obviously just internet speculation here, but it seems like their fork's ending spring rate is a lot lower, using damping to keep the fork from bottoming?
