I'd imagine pre-heat and post-heat is very important. Lots of heat stress happens with welding, and welding on "cold" aluminum causes it. You will likely see tears next to the weld, also known as the HAZ zone. Aside from that, I think the welding part is pretty standard TIG. I would not ride the bike at all if I saw...

My point was that it seems highly unlikely the problems with the original link were discovered and the new links designed, machined, and anodized in the last few days once the team arrived in France.

Intense riders already running modified rocker links. Makes me wonder if there's a strength/durability issue with the mustache thin design or if this is more tinkering with geo and kinematics. Also seen on AG's IG.
