Points deducted for blasphemous mixing of SRAM and Shimano parts, why not XTR cranks? Great build besides that.

Brad Benedict with his Specialized S-Works Demo 8. Brad was a test rider during the carbon Demo's development so he has been on one since their beginnings. He brought the black beast to Vital MTB Moto day to make us jealous and run us through his setup. Enjoy the photos and specs and listen to the audio clip towards the bottom of the page.

I agree that this is an electric motorcycle. As a motocross racer and a mountain biker I can say that I enjoy the two sports being separate. I mtb because I love it and it also teaches me to carry momentum, thats a main benefit. The argument that this bike gives you the "fitness benifit they'd otherwise miss out on by riding a moto" tells me that you have little to no real experience on a moto track or trail. Motocross is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world, mtb is a warm up comparied to a...

Some of you are missing the point about this bike. It does NOT matter what we classify it as. It doesn't matter if we decide that its a motorcycle, motorbike, or bicycle. It doesn't matter if it's a fun ride or not. It. Does. Not. Matter. The only thing that matters is how those who control the trails view it. And based on my experience, mountain bikers are on the losing ends of these sorts of things.
