This quote from the BigBike interview, is what most have been practicing since i've been around in racing (the dark ages).... BB: Is it possible to ingest these products inadvertently? JP from M: When you are a top athlete, it is entirely your responsibility to know what you are ingesting. There are prohibited substances and with them related substances. It's been like this since the beginning of the anti-doping fight and nobody is supposed to ignore it. The card of accidental ingestion is a defense that does not hold up very well ...

I was speaking specifically to these individuals, not EWS as a whole. Jared has dealt with WADA before, as has Richie. They know the protocol and they understand the process. I think you're trying to prove a point here at the detriment to the conversation while ignoring people who have ACTUAL experience with this, so I'm not going to compare dick sizes with you. As far as the chemical makeup and physiological responses, please don't: I literally have a background in fitness and a degree in exercise science, so thanks for the quick lesson on drug effects and responses, but...

No matter the outcome, Enduro has brought the consumer numerous bad ass bikes, components, and tools to choose from. I'll always be thankful for that aspect.

Well reading all the posts I struggle to grasp where @jeff.brines is being emotional and defends RR and JG. To me (overall) he's just saying "wait until the hearing and let the riders have a chance to defend themselves in front of the institutions" On the contrary I feel that people asking already for strong punishment or calling them cheaters are the ones getting all worked up and emotional. So to get things as straight as I can, we only know ONE thing: Graves an Rude both tested positive to Higenamine & Oxilofrine at the Olargues round of EWS 2018...

Serious question - but was it clear what standard EWS athletes were to be upheld to? I can't say it'd really be on my radar unless I knew what rule book we were supposed to follow in the first place... While I agree WADA seems the gold-standard, and something everyone - from a recreational level racer to a super star should follow, I'm not sure this would be something I'd be hyper aware of if the sanctioning body didn't specify anything pertaining to doping until one fluke French race where testers happened to do their thing because it was in...

Probably should be doing a yearly check on ingredients vs WADA list if you are a pro athlete.

Ahh so that's how you compete in endurance cycling events while looking like a jacked Crossfit bro. I feel sorry for the athletes who got beat by them.

Haha... It's not exactly rocket science to know who gets tested as the podium is a given at an event where dopping controls are in place.

I agree naming the riders on this forum would not be responsible. Maybe this was discussed in the thread that got deleted, but I am curious how you came to see "the list" and if it clearly said that the racers had failed.

Regnier's screenshot was taken from the editorial article on Enduro Tribe. He has circled the amount of time that it might take for results to be public (more than a year). "[i]By knowing this investigation process and referring to it, Chris Ball rejects the outcome of this case for a long time. On average, the results made public by the...

What’s the backstory on the testing? I thought that EWS was planning to be UCI sanctioned (and subject to WADA rules) next year, not this year. Did this testing catch racers off-guard? I’m fairly certain that it will be under UCI sanction next year. If so, anyone that tests positive won’t be racing for a while.

There are dozens of supplements/drugs that are legal in most countries that are banned by WADA/USADA, so I doubt that will change anything. And as the JD Swanguan sanction states, the penalty for his positive test was reduced since it could have had a "credible non-doping explanation". [b][u][i] Cannabinoids are listed as Specified Substances because they could be susceptible to...
