Go to the photo of Matt Slaven and see why people suck. So many of those riders murder the local trails and spread out lines for their own benefit. Sucks that he couldn't care that the actual trail is a couple feet to his right. Of all the enduros, Whistler seems awesome. Lots of pedalling, as it should be between sections. Lots of cool descending, but don't make your own tracks everywhere and spread out trails to make highways.

I don't know why it is so crazy that Sam won on flat pedals. Gee won on flat pedals this year. Nobody seemed to make much of a fuss about that. If there was anyone who is a clipped in rider, it is Gee. Smith has run flats, Brook still is for the most part, Peaty and Minnaar were on them for Champery before, Blenki and Bryceland were on flats just a bit ago. Way more of an argument for flats that a rider like Gee, on a pedally track like Cairns, won. Pretty much solidifies my opinion that you're...

Syndicate using a mid-shock mount chip? Looks like halfway between the 8.5 and 10 modes. Of course the frame could be different as far as the linkage, but there is a lot of space on either side of that bolt.

Best video anyone has put out since some of Tri Ride's stuff a few years back. Nice perspective.

It took a while for this to come out because it takes most SL-R's 8-12 months to stretch enough to fit 27.5 wheels.

Stock steel bolts on the front part of the direct mount clamp and ti bolts on the two rear mounts? And they even replaced the fork bumper bolts with aluminum. Rad touches.

You should go to The Backcountry, it is in Truckee, and they have Scott Gamblers and I believe Intense rental bikes for Northstar. One of the only shops I've seen with really good rental stuff. Just don't hit your head on a kayak walking in the door.

If anyone has ridden that trail and knows that gap he did, well then Steve Smith should be your favorite rider ever. Holy bejeesus.

"An audible alarm will warn of an upcoming front derailleur shift so that a rider can choose to remain in a given gear." Yup, I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars more to be warned that my front derailleur is going to shift. hahahahahahahaha.... hahahahahahaha. Go away front derailleurs. I'm quite happy with XO1.

It's not the price. I don't care how much it costs because I'll still buy what I can afford. There are two big reasons why I am a "hater": it retains the front derailleur and it is a solution for something that is not broken. I despise front derailleurs and see their existence as the main obstacle preventing stronger and lighter frames with better geometry. As long as frame manufacturers have to design around the front derailleur, frames will always have compromises in strength, weight, and/or dimensions. The bearing that receives the highest load is the drive-side main pivot bearing...
