Should course officials allow a race to begin if they know bad weather is bound to hit in the middle of it? I want to know everyone's thoughts.

it sucks when weather decides the race. i find it hard to believe given the huge cost to the teams and sponsors of putting on this event it's better to run the main or allow it to finish in insane weather. run it earlier if weather is looking crazy or push it back a few hours. it's not like the stream is live anyway. with seven races there aren't any to waste. i love watching dh. i think racing is rad. i even own a carbon dh bike. i seriously hate this outcome and how everyone is like 'well it's...

I was quite impressed with Minnaar's effort compared to the other riders that left the gate just before and after him. He was 10-20 seconds faster in those horrid conditions.

This looks like the future of DH. Like it or not the evolution is on. Personally I resisted 29ers until I fell in love riding one. A well designed long travel wagon wheeler can actually be loose in technical terrain and incredibly fun to ride. + Any experienced rider will be able to whip it, scrub & enjoy quality airtime...

I'm pretty sure Josh went way faster up top, he said that he absolutely nailed the top but his hands were already fucked coming into the second open section (2:43). Sam must've made up a lot of time on the loose off camber stuff. If the splits had been placed better, it would've been interesting to see the differences.

That was mental! It's probably a good thing Sam's run wasn't recorded - I'm sure it would make our brains implode...not that mine didn't a little watching Josh's run.

Cedric followed me into a big drop line at Nationals one year. Then tried to tell me I was crazy for hitting it. Pot calling the kettle black. One thing about DH pros, they always make you feel like you're amongst friends. Every one I've ever met from Palmer to Voreis, Peat, Leigh Donovan, Cedric, Kovarik, Toby Henderson, EC, Shaums...all treated other riders with respect. Keep on keepin' on Cedric...
