Skunk Works Suspension Liked a reply to forum topic Coil Shock Shootout

The Vorsprung shock is somewhat similar to a CC Double Barrel in that they are both twin tube designs like Ohlins pioneered. The Telum has the most interesting design out of the bunch with a solid main piston and very unique means of adjusting the compression and rebound damping curves. It wins "showroom feel" as well, I have never felt a shock so supple and smooth. Perhaps a twin tube shootout with Cane Creek, Ohlins, Fox DHX2, and Telum? We're just getting started, big plans for the future. 👍

You're correct, USAC will not be doing the event production. We're keeping all of that in house. We are working with them to make the US Nattys happen for Enduro and E-Enduro, but the NAEC is keeping full production responsibility for the event. - Tony

Kudos to VitalMTB for the coverage of the US National Downhill Series!! Also want to point out that the fastest woman rider was not in Elite. Aletha Ostgaard rode in cat one 18 under with a 2:58. Didn't she place 3rd at Killington behind Nina and Jill?

Nice, one last thing that should go imo is the rear caliper position, Hope brakes won't fit and it's just a pain in the ass to adjust the caliper and work on it. other than that, pretty much spot on!

TRP didn't create a new mounting design to connect their shifters and brakes. Their shifters use SRAM's MatchMaker style of mounting. So TRP Slate and EVO brakes are compatible with TRP shifters (as well as SRAM and Shimano shifters) but it isn't a new or TRP-specific interface. Hopefully that answers your question! Here is TRP's brake and shifter compatible chart

I jus paid $250 for a full 12 speed XT group (no cranks) on Jenson. I could buy Cane Creek ee-wings and be a bling whore and still come out "cheaper"

Trying to pull off a mtb race on public land is a multi year nightmare ask me how I know. Not to mention the logistics for EMS and uplift for a down hill race.

Buy summer rights to our local ski hill and run shuttles 6 days a week. As well as put money into the trails. start a non profit to buy land for trail centers and lift parks in communities across the us but particularly focusing on the mid Atlantic. As well as help communities build quality bike trail on public land.

I'd buy property in places I want to ride (Squamish, Revelstoke, somewhere in Europe, etc) and host friends whenever they want to come out. Donate tons to different trail organizations and non-profits that promote cycling and make access easier to low-income and marginalized communities. Ride when/where I want. Maybe push the limits of N+1, but give so many bikes away. I don't think I'd invest in a team, or bike park or company. I want to ride bikes because it's fun and wouldn't want it to turn into work.
