Things are moving. For the initial public release, we're going all-in on grassroots racing, the "Strava-like" activity tracking pirate ship will come later. From my point of view, grassroots racing is where the gap (and my passion) is, and it's where we can deliver something genuinely better from day one. The upside: Garmin integration ships with iOS/Android/web app launch. If we see the traction we're expecting, we can build all sorts of cool activity tracking stuff, but it just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with that. Happy to answer questions. Cheers

Accel Group is said to merge its racing teams. Ghost XC Racing, this one, all under the Lapierre brand name. Ghost focuses on some freeriders and on surviving as a brand.

In my opinion it's just a regular Lapierre GLP3 without the plastic cover (probably for better cooling/heat dissipation) ? Vincent Ledieu is working for Michelin, I don't think he is involved in Lapierre bikes development.

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable.
