7/9/2025 9:33am The initial range they went for with the Radial Tires is pretty curious to me. Seems like they could have done more tried and true mainstay patterns instead of one (and a half) new tires and also the oldest tread in their lineup.

7/8/2025 9:20am Having lots of fun playing with tires now that I can can vary from my race setup. On the Sentinel, I’ve swapped from the Conti DH (agree with @TEAMROBOT that they feel kinda wooden in the front) to Radial Albert 2.6 US front and Albert 2.5 soft in the rear. They seem to roll faster, grip better, and add a...

6/15/2025 11:12am For those who have run the Enduro and DH casings in the Conti Gravity line, do you think the casing difference has a big effect on pedaling and rolling speed? Just got out for the first ride on my new Sentinel yesterday with the DH KryptFr SS and DH Xynotal Soft, and found the bike to feel quite draggy and...

6/10/2025 9:52am @harm0n20 This is the Comp Alloy frame color, right? I’ve got such a soft spot for high-end builds on the alloy frame like this.

6/10/2025 8:28am I love fast courses but the motorway is plain boring. I like when it is high speed tech. The Leogang woods section was good this year but when its wetter its just slightly too steep to be as fast as I would like.

6/9/2025 8:44am For people questing roczen it’s not a bad move to have him in there pumping up one of our stars. Him commentating positive comments on Jackson during jacksons’s winning run is exactly the type of spotlight that is worthwhile. Having him sit in past Jackson’s run was the mistake. It became blatantly clear where he no longer knew how to contribute other than carefully answer the dumb questions he was asked.

6/9/2025 8:44am I’m definitely with you there. In any case, I’d rather see more tech/gnar than huge gaps anyway, it’s a whole lot more dynamic and makes line choice more of a thing.

6/9/2025 8:43am On a more serious note; Not sure if this is the place, but I'm getting a little concerned over rider safety (also posted in the Leogang thread). I'm a big fan of the LCQ, I think it's brought a lot of excitement to the weekend. BUT when it's brought in in conjuncture with a concerted effort to speed up tracks (correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems lots of corners are either being removed or sped up). I think the execs ( I believe this also was a thing in the RB days) think high speeds and big jumps...

6/8/2025 12:31pm Kind of also Tire Talk, but having run (and despised) the Tacky Chan as a front tire, I find it so interesting that Amaury Pierron runs them front and rear. Seems like most racers are running something like a Magic Mary, Kryptotal Fr, or Assegai in the front that’s a bit more forgiving of lean angle, but maybe the benefit...

6/7/2025 10:21am Man, not my experience here on the Front Range. Last season I ran Kryptotal Fr/Re DH during the summer and switched to Argotal/Argotal DH for the winter and spring. The Argotals were slow as hell on the climbs but dug into all the loose sketchy corners. I did not get Argotal vibes from the new Butcher; I got "DHF but make it a little better" vibes. Which some folks obviously love, but I've never been a DHF guy. To be clear, I don't think the new Butcher or Eliminator are bad tires, I just don't think they mesh with my...

6/7/2025 10:21am I’ve always thought the Butcher felt much less DHF-y and that was why I like it - at least on the 2.3 the gap between the rolling and cornering knobs is a lot smaller, though the overall tread pattern is similar. Now I have a better time on front tires with more evenly spaced knobs - I’m not the most...

6/5/2025 2:51pm I’ve definitely been doing some experimentation on my 120/140 bike (REEB SST). Having spoken with the man who designed the bike, he is a low stack enjoyer and rides a medium (so the FC/RC ratio is more like 1.78 vs my Large’s 1.83). I’ve run everything from a 40-50mm stem and 20mm to 50mm rise bars, and I’ve settled on...

6/5/2025 10:13am At least for backcountry skiing, I’m a lot more worried about breakable crust than hard snow, so my heavily rockered fat skis are great for that, too.

6/5/2025 9:36am I’m currently loving the Kryptotal Fr/Xynotal combo for the bigger bike, but I’ve had such a good time with the Spesh Eliminator/Butcher in the past that I’m curious to try the new-ish version of the treads. We just got our first bikes in with the new Butcher, and in addition to having larger tread blocks, the distinct lack of siping...

Building up a very similar Alloy Sentinel (same frame color but with RS suspension and full 29) right now. So stoked.
