Some of our favorites can’t qualify for the 60 man semi. The clock doesn’t lie. Maybe the continental / feeder series will be better because of it.

8/11/2024 8:33am What if they were allowed to have reserve riders, so a team with a rider that qualified but got hurt/injured before finally… the team would be allowed to put in a replacement rider.. team/brand still get exposure. just spit balling ideas see what people think. I hate the thought of a lot of well known riders having to walk away...

that‘s the myth from motoGP but in mtb öhlins sponsors their teams the same way as RS and fox does. otherwise they wouldn‘t have a chance to get their feet into the bike market.

7/11/2024 12:12pm That’s the thing…… Ohlins is a buy in deal, or least it was. Team pay them for product and support. pretty sure that’s been mentioned in the past. But will he get the same level of support and new tech as the Specialized Gravity Team……. time will tell.

7/11/2024 8:50am Think it’s going to be a total cull with all team, there’s a lot of riders out there not making it through qualifying, it’ll be hard to justify their places on teams. the young ones just seem hungrier for it. for the old guys out there, can they really compete with the new generation speed? really think at the end...

Having done a lot of testing pre-season when he was team mates with Loic. you could be right……. But where would he go that’s got a set up that suits him?

To add to the rumors, Does the new Stumpy being wireless only indicate that a shimano wireless drivetrain is near? Seems odd to restrict the SJ to one manufacturer only for drivetrain. Specialized likely knows more than we do.

This a massive win from them. If only the drive train side of SRAM approached upgrades/replacement parts with the same process as the suspension side. Also more damping! About time, still should be more
