The amount of rims with spokes still attached (hub removed) that I saw kids walking around with this weekend would say otherwise to your comment about hiding broken parts. I believe Jackson went through one rim where last time at MSA he went through even more. He bent his bash guard and chain ring (my son has the ring) this...

I was told 15 years ago by a member of the owning family of Bromont that biking was just under 1% of their income. As others mentioned, it’s about property development. Create a four season mountain and the value goes up.
I agree with many of you that it was quite strange that Loïc didn’t make it to the podium. “But”, the location of the gondola and podium are not close. He would have had to walk for a bit along the base of the mountain and then head up the hill to the podium through the crowd. It would have...

MSA crowd today was packed. Felt more than last year. The one difference with less riders was that people headed down towards the finish line sooner than they had in the past.

Replace the bike seat with a bed pan. Gives new meaning to "dropper post."

Little bit of an aside, but I'm doing some homework on the players in Taiwan, China and Vietnam responsible for most of the "big guys" bikes (frames, primarily). I have a few sources that are helping, but if anyone in this thread has anything to offer - jeff.brines@gmail.com I think it'd be really cool to shine a light on who is making what for who, even if it doesn't mean much on the surface. If the semiconductor industry can be so precisely mapped by Dylan Patel and his team, I feel I can figure the bike thing out. The smoke...

I've talked about my hand problems a lot, but brake setup plays a huge role. It's part of the reason I've tried so many different brakes. What I found is that brakes with a ton of power but super linear pulls (Maxima, MT7, Code mainly) don't help and/or make issues worse for me. This comes down to power delivery but also ergonomics and how that power delivery influences power delivery. Some brakes just can't be run close due to the lack of power early in the lever pull. If the lever has to be shot out into space to get...

I’m sure I’m not the only one who breathed a sigh of relief when Troy crossed the line green last week when it seemed like the track was getting harder as the race progressed. And while i understand the perspective of no court ruling daprela is responsible means they can’t really stop him from racing. But basically eso has pretended that there are no fairly substantiated allegations from the beginning. And it seems as his results have improved closer to where they were more and more media groups seem to be willing to give him a spotlight without an asterisk...
