Primoz Added a comment about press release MRP Teams Up With SRAM

3/19/2011 9:11am
To be honest, i don't care who owns the patents . I just want the option to have a 2x10 drivetrain, the SRAM (or XC XTR) kind, where the chainline is adjusted for a 2 ring front setup. So that means the only way to get a bash is a taco style protector. And that doesn't exist yet in a 2 ring setup. Yes, i know most, if not all, enduro bikes don't have strong enough tabs. But at the moment i'm on 140 mm travel bike and i only ever put a 44t ring on the ground - on...

Primoz Added a comment about feature Life Cycles: The Last Great Mountain Bike Film

1/4/2011 1:11pm
Meh, should have consulted with the internets beforehand, The Collective was released in 04, Roam in 06 and Seasons in 08. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Collective_(film) Virtuous was released in 08 and thanks for remembering me of VAST, another cool movie from the creators of Virtuous. http://www.ionatefilms.com/?page_id=3&lang=en I see that Earthed actually had 5 editions with the last one being released in 2007. While it doesn't ave the best cinematography it's more of a documentary series on Downhill. That's why it's a good watch.

Virtous is now what, 3 years old? SOmething like that. Earthed 4 was last made i think 2 years ago now and each of the 4 editions covered one of the 4 consequtive years of racing in the downhill scene. The Collective is YE OLDE (circa 2000 i think), Roam is a bit younger (~3 years) and Seasons is 2007 if i'm not mistaken.

Primoz Added a comment about feature Life Cycles: The Last Great Mountain Bike Film

Life Cycles wasn't overhyped at all, it might even be underhyped! The definition of overhyping IMO is Follow Me, it was supposed to be the most awesome movie EVAH! In the end it was kinda meh, just another riding movie. TBH i found the wheat shots in Life Cycles a bit boring since i mostly enjoy downhill and/or freeride shots, mostly the ones where people rocket down a trail with normal sized jumps. Rampage and slopestyle do absolutely nothing for me. But on the other hand kudos to the Life Cycles team for making those 720 backflips fresh, which was...

Primoz Added a comment about photo The Roam is Coming...

I know it's a taper on the proto, visit the BlkMrkt site, they said what i quoted in my post which may hint to a full 1,5" in the production models. As for the main pivot, i'll try to find the frame only pic from interbike.

On the BlkMrkt site it says they are going to a larger diameter top headtube bearing - 1,5" through and through?

It appears it's still the same team (Monster and the personell), they just switched the bike manufacturer from IH to SPec.

2012? We first have to start the 2011 season... EDIT: and it was said that CRC are ending the Intense deal. So what, Nukeproof bikes for the people left in the team (if Matti and CK really do leave)? Intense are you setting up a factory team then? Smile
