PlunderPath667 Added a reply to MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation
3/4/2020 10:37am Absolutely not today’s enduro bike - interrupted seat tube, no bottle cage, rims aren’t carbon, plus I’d probably rip that derailleur off when shifting into my 51t cog.

PlunderPath667 Added a reply to DH bike Headangle help!
2/14/2020 3:06pm It puts the front wheel further in front of your center of gravity, increases your wheelbase, and changes the load between your fork stanchions and bushings. On steep trails, it provides added stability and makes it easier to keep from going OTB - it can also help smooth out big hits as your front wheel will be ever so slightly...
PlunderPath667 Added a reply to Bike Decision Help - Hardtail Trail Rig
2/7/2020 5:27pm So one thing I’ve learned from owning a few hard tails alongside lots of FS bikes - hardtails are way more fun if the head angle is slack (<= 65*), the bb is low (~12”) and the fork is shortish (~130mm). And, despite owning an AL HT right now, steel actually is real. Your shop can probably order you a...

2/22/2019 5:44am Honestly, I don't know why I felt what I felt from the rear of the bike. The usual suspects are absent when looking at the kinematics. Maybe it was the wheel path, but I've ridden other bikes with very similar wheel paths without noting this sort of anemic-ness (its a word) from the bike's suspension action. Realize, it wasn't "bad", it just felt like less travel. Harsh for a 140mm bike. About what you'd expect from a 110-120mm bike. I know I'm supposed to be reviewing a dead stock bike, but for a period of time I had the opportunity...

PlunderPath667 Added a comment about feature Specialized Stumpjumper EVO vs. Stumpjumper - See How They Compare
2/21/2019 10:50am Do you think the harshness is because the wheelpath seems almost totally forward? A decade ago when i had to short-shock all of my trailbikes to get decent geo, the square edge performance always sucked afterward.

1/11/2019 8:59pm I don't give a damn about the bikes, I just want those elbow pads, that chest protector, and the sheer bravery to wear a half face like that

12/26/2018 2:50pm I don't think they really need to do much. Maybe as simple as modernizing the geometry and kinematics on the baseline catalogue frame designs, then redesigning the marketing to sell enough for the custom order MoQs. I'm sure their vendor has capable engineers, so just a matter of cutting a check to a couple consultants and pro riders to start...

12/26/2018 2:31pm So based on this comment, it looks like the KHS thing is real? Noticed AG following KHS on IG but not Intense. Maybe KHS working on a B2C strategy for N.A. YT compete?

12/1/2018 4:49pm Good discussion. Let's keep things civilized. And remember that no one is an authority on the subject here, even those with a bachelors degree in science. Those of us with science backgrounds should know that. I work with and have worked for several scientists with PhDs and most have decades of experience in their respective fields. Not one of them goes around saying dont argue with me about this because I'm an expert. There is so much information out there and results may contradict each other. For example, try co-authoring a review paper for publication and you'll know that you...

11/15/2018 7:56pm Not sure if it's been stated already. If any joker from Wada, etc is sharing preliminary info with their dipshit friends - especially those who post (or tease) unverified rumors on the internet, that should raise bigger questions about the legitimacy of the organization. Boycotts never work, but if this gets leaked - the ship should sink.

8/9/2018 9:01am To clarify - by "ground up" you mean that by literally grinding up an existing reverb, we'd have a higher functioning product? Based on my experience with reverbs, that makes sense....

7/17/2018 2:33pm This might sound really weird but i think it should make sense to others given the Watson jump... I feel like if you don't get bucked and ejected upon landing, you half-assed your TDF jump. I hope the rider in the photo a) is actually shirtless; b) got bucked and ejected on the landing; c) scorpioned in front of a...
