5/6/2025 12:11pm Trickstuff brakes are Massively expensive, They are trying to get the price down by cutting costs... a company that survives is better than one that Files for bankruptcy. Have to sell products with profit to stay in business, im sure your successful business understands that. As a Trickstuff owner, they are fantastic but that cost is deadly when they are...

5/3/2025 12:23pm I feel Frameworks, the team and company, are doing quite well at the moment. Do some math on how many frames they have sold, at a premium price, and it's a pretty big number in terms of cash flow for a very small company. They don't even pay to paint the frames, raw is popular! -They don't have issues with Asian tariffs like most of the bike industry currently does (carbon rear end from TW being the exception). -The team title sponsor (5DEV) is in the same position. -The Frameworks brand is currently known world wide with very little (if...

5/3/2025 12:08pm not worth the extra $200? ( first i'd love to know where in the world we have all that price difference, a Maven Silver in NZ is the same as V4 braided ), but even if it was to be 200$ they're worth it just for the quality, let alone the control they've got. And i still believe when on braided with a nice thick rotor and proper bleed they feel everything but vague. Just checking them side by side, the quality and finish are nowhere near, especially the caliper is in another world, then working on them you see...

5/2/2025 1:22pm 2 things, IMO the two can be done and its bullsh1t we accept it whether People are aware of it or not. 1, No faff brakes, Please can we just have brakes we can install, bleed via cup and/or via hope/automotive method but without having to mess with cycling pistons etc, dont give me "my shimanos dont give me any...

5/2/2025 12:12pm From my time on purples - they were pretty quiet. Just took a touch more time to warm up to full power. Definitely not loud like metalic pads.

5/1/2025 3:44pm Thats tough, but be aware sometimes the 223 galfer wave rotor wont fit correctly in shimano calipers even with the correct adapter, You have to raise it even more. However you cant go wrong with any of those options, I have Mavens on my DH bike and TRP evo Pro's on my 2 other bikes. mavens are brutal power... just...

5/1/2025 12:46am Go watch D Nortons interview from sea otter, he talks about how running flats vs clips make a difference - also talks about How your more likely to destroy rear wheels with flats as you're slamming so much weight into the rear wheel & you tend to load the bike alot more. Clip riders can ride much more aggressively as...

5/1/2025 12:31am It's honestly refreshing to see a review talk about the potential short comings of longer rear ends, even if he didn't call it out specifically. That Comencal he was on had a 1.82 FC RC ratio, not really that out of the ordinary, but he noticed the ammount of weight it was putting on the front wheel for him and his riding style. That's why I'm generally against the idea of "proportional stays", because it's only accounting for a single factor, static weight distribution. I really hope the online crowds stop pushing for them like they are the only way...

5/1/2025 12:30am Matt Beers on riding a bike with a longer rear center: “Putting the bike into steep, switchbacks takes some commitment to trust the front wheel won’t tuck underneath you. It’s not the most inviting if you’re not on your A-game and certainly not how I expected a 170 mm-travel enduro bike to respond in those scenarios. With that said, I do ride further forward on the bike than most. Compared to a ganglier rider, like Amaury Pierron, he tends to ride with his hips lower and further back over the saddle. I found myself mimicking his riding style on this...

5/1/2025 12:29am I've bought alot of hope products and i've never bought through the NZ importer, the guy is arrogant and rude.(i was told this then experienced it) most of the Stuff came from places like r2bike or lordgun etc. - Our local shop can and has got stuff in the past but they will not deal with them anymore. I talked...

4/29/2025 11:11am Their pre wave alloy? i've owned a set of those 'big bearing' pedals for years and i've probably put my foot on it once. Regardless the answer to flat pedals is always the same.... go and buy clip pedals.

4/28/2025 10:31pm hope green are awesome pads... called race pads for a reason. I normally get a couple of park days from a set BUT if its wet you will destroy them very fast like you've experienced. 4/28/2025 10:26pm I’d like to see standardized mounting for e bike batteries so that I just buy the size I want rather than have the manufacturer choose my size for me. That way I can ditch my 625wh plus range extender and just pop in a 1000wh (or larger).

4/25/2025 12:29pm You just adjust your technique. If you rode exclusively high pivots for a while, then hopped on a more traditional design, it would immediately feel very strange the other way too.
