Shipping bikes with longer steerer tubes would be a big start... A ton of bikes only allow a fully slammed stem out of the box and the solution is to replace the complete fork or CSU.

Agreed, the factory bleed on many bikes seem to be a bit lazy. I think centering the pistons in the caliper makes an even bigger difference assuming the brakes are bled correctly. Basically centering the body of the caliper, pulling the lever a few times, and pressing against whichever pistons come out first to allow the opposite side to come out the same distance and eliminate the rotor from flexing between sides. 90% of spongy brakes I work on are from the rotor flexing from unequal pad contact. Vans have already tried to push into MTB in the early to mid 2010’s. Google “Vans Warner clipless shoe”. I vividly remember D-Riff and Brad Benny running them in the Chumba/Giant Nerd team days.

One thing to remember about chainstay adjustments is that they actually affect your travel number. 10mm of chainstay adjustment adds about 4mm travel. That's not a ton, but 30mm of chainstay adjust would add almost 12-ish mm of travel to the bike and dramatically change the leverage rate on the shock. It affects the suspension kinematic a lot.

And if you do the math, it's pretty much what you need to preserve the position of the center of mass between the two axles.
