3/16/2024 10:22am You are the one being misleading. less than 10% of rape actually get reported to the police. The remaining 90% are still rape/SA. 20% of victims don't report to the police because of victim blaming from the aggressor or public discourse. another 20% of victims don't report to the police because they fear retaliation from the aggressor And another 15% of victims don't report to the police because they don't believe the police or the judicial systems would be helpful in their case.

3/16/2024 10:22am Let me help you with where to start- don't talk about things you have no idea about. In 2021, more than 30,000 rape reports were filed by women in France. 1,413 convictions were made that year. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1103661/rape-on-woman-age-victim-fr… https://www.statista.com/statistics/940739/convictions-for-rape-in-fran…

3/16/2024 8:11am That's not really backed up by the prosecution/conviction statistics at all. e.g.: "According to figures from the French Ministry of Gender Equality, every year in France, 94,000 women report being victims of rape or attempted rape. But in 2021, barely 1 percent of the reported assaults resulted in a conviction." In the UK it's still extremely hard to get a conviction for rape. I know someone who was drugged then raped, and despite a lot of evidence there was no conviction. I can imagine in somewhere like France it would be even harder just with what the prevailing attitude towards...

Danielgl Added a reply to Modern bike sizing
1/24/2024 5:45pm Since his elbow literally touches his knee in a pretty casual turn, I'm pretty sure we can all agree something is wrong there. To properly steer a bike, you need to be able to move freely your body.
Danielgl Added a reply to Modern bike sizing
1/23/2024 9:13am What modern bike have done is move more of your weight through your hand (longer reach) while moving rearward your center of mass in relation to your wheels (longer front center, but similar rear end). It pushes you to put more weight through your hand to keep traction on your front wheel. What you can do to still benefit from...

12/10/2023 7:33am Sure it takes more effort to make a full wheely, but how is it relevant? I feel we over-focus on the ability to make a wheely while what's relevant is: are you able to pull up the front wheel to get over an obstacle? You also take into account that with a bigger size, also comes higher stack height and higher center of gravity (because the rider is taller) which make pulling up the front wheel easier. Anyway, it's easy to get tripped up in what we are used to riding and be afraid to experiment: most of the time...

12/9/2023 4:48am Did you actually ride one of those long chainstay high pivot bikes? Because it's not that much harder to pull the front wheel, and certainly nothing that makes a difference riding an actual trail.

12/8/2023 6:15am I understand all that but why would it have 76 seat tube angle and pretty much standard seat tube length? Normally DH bike have pretty slack seat tube angle (because who care?) and shorter and seat tube than that.

12/7/2023 4:58pm Is it me or if you correct the geometry for a 170mm fork, it look a lot like a V2 Dreadnought?

12/7/2023 4:56pm And if you do the math, it's pretty much what you need to preserve the position of the center of mass between the two axles.

Danielgl Added a reply to What are the hard truths of mountain bike fitting?
10/21/2023 4:29am 1 - What about saddle horizontal position (determine the position of the center of mass when seated) ? 2 - What about the distance between the saddle and the cockpit when seated (determine muscle engagement in the leg and an upright position increases back pain: you need to engage back muscle to absorb impact/vibration). 3 - What about the upright...

10/18/2023 3:08pm I think it shows how problematic it is to choose a size for a customer without putting him on the bike on a fitting station. Any size choice should be made with proper measurement with the customer on the bike (because the geometry chart doesn't always correlate with the actual bike).

Anyone one know what type of equipment and the time those edit need to produce? They are always rad and seems to be fairly simple to make.

11/28/2017 6:51am Cannot believe that the old argument of "there's not the right girl for the team" pass that easy in the conversation. I you take the time to look, you will find. Maybe she's not gonna be all ready for you because it's hard like hell to be on a world cup as a privater but she's there. Just take the example of Miranda Miller, long time on the podium, long time without any real sponsor. She had it harder than most men, That being said, it is unfair to ask that question to the only women who run a worldcup...
