I still have it and it works very well. I admit I havent got a great amount of trail time on it as we prepped and sold our Krazyfornia home/moved to Texas/got rotator cuff surgery/out for at least 6-8 more months recovering. Thats life when you are a OG mtb'er!! I am looking at obtaining a upgrade for this fork...

Try getting in touch with Luxxon. He probably has an email on his website. Dude spreads a wealth of information on VitalMX. He seems very knowledgeable able and also just seems like a cool guy.

I have this linkage fork and like it, but not sure about the long term viability of the large main titanium tube mounting system. I am exploring the different clamping style of clamp for the downtube, and would entertain even replacing the main tube with aluminum or thin wall steel tubing if I need to. I'm not sure that it...

Primoz I agree that the Archer system should work, as the recent test of the Spur in PB shows it with a modified thumb shifter (pic) to change the gears with just the one cable.

Unless the shifting is REALLY stiff, I don't think you should have any problems with the Archer setup. As far as I've seen, you can determine chain pull for every gear separately if required. But of course, do share your experiences once you get the bike. Focus on Effigear performance as well plus if you have the option of running a standard rear hub and a locked freewheel (to compare how it shifts, aiming at my comments of being required to backpedal and all...), that would be awesome.
