That's the only UCI WC I've been able to attend (thus far). That was when I first met Shaums March (who would have a really bad wreck in finals IIRC). John Kirkaldie let me bounce on his Turner DHR. Speaking of Dope and "doping", remember when Gary Houseman won the Grouse world cup in 2003 and then was stripped? (or that Mik Pascal rode to 6th in the absolute mud bath when none of the top riders could come close to Houseman's time)

11/15/2018 12:19pm I have seen him in certain videos throughout the years, riding XC in Australia, promoting the sport, still with connections to Santa Cruz and the Syndicate etc. That's what I remember. I don't know precisely what he is doing these days, but I am left with a good impression about his relationships with his sponsors and the support he received.

I’m with you on this. The “partnership” may seem like a necessary evil but we all know in the end that prize money will be lower and less venues will want to “host” EWS events because of the UCI tax...

I respect Chris Ball and all he has built with EWS. I believe most of his intentions on the partnership are positive. That said, handed the rule book over to the UCI (yes he said 'partnership' but we all know how heavy handing the UCI is) and adding more bureaucratic commissaires to the events is a dangerous slippery slope in my opinion. Much of the EWS appeal was it's lack of UCI oversight and repressive meddling. Many see this partnership as a deal with the devil in all honesty

Probably some cold meds type shit, if I were a guessing man...the stakes in this sport aren't rich enough for Lance type cheating. But then again, there were those canadian XC dudes years ago that did EPO, so, maybe there is an alibaba for dope? Maybe, it's better to say "the stakes aren't rich enough in DH and EWS, because it's not an olympic sport" and things always seem to go sideways when the olympics are involved.

Based on timing (Fall 2018) my guess would be TLD and Adidas will drop a collaborating for spring/summer 2019. If I remember correctly TLD has previewed the next seasons gear during Rampage before.

Aren’t both Harrison and Hall locals to Temecula / Murrieta area? And hasn’t Harrison spent the first month or two of off season down under with Dean and Moir surfing? His recent posts could indicate Nik Nesteroff may be a teammate. ... I know this isn’t the case, just saying tags or shots of buddies together doesn’t mean teammates for the upcoming season. That said, I was hoping for an Intense Gwinship three years ago when he left the Big S. I didn’t think he would go to YT with their type of party persona and vibe.

first time hearing that concerning brosnan. AFAIK specialized wanted gwin decked out in full specialized gear and sram, same as troy was riding plus didn‘t want to pay as much as he was demanding. will be interesting to see how this intense thing turns out since gwin is sponsored bei fox suspension and bell helmets and intense was on full sram support plus troy lee kits the last few years.
