This is not a tech rumor so I’m not going to talk about this again. What I will say is we haven’t seen a single case of frame damage due to regular use. Frames are pretty overbuilt. Your wheels are more likely to blow up first. Ask me how I know. Off the top of my head, I can only remember two instances where serious frame damage occurred. Just to try and make sure this little bit makes sense, a yoke is essentially a method to increase the eye-to-eye length of a shock. It is rigidly connected to the shock so increasing the length of the yoke can be viewed as increasing the eye-to-eye. This is also what Specialized flip chips do. The Enduro is an interesting one because there are a few things going on that can do this. To correct geo for the smaller rear wheel you need to make the shock yoke about 6mm longer. I dont really get what they are trying to say though? You can increase support without change spring or damping settings? Yeah every frame you make more progressive via flip chip will do that.

Here is the thing. You are half right. The responsibility for staying upright and putting together a safe run always falls on the rider. But, there is a level of risk mitigation that the organizer need to do. Motorsports of all kinds have track runoffs designed to minimize risk if a racer goes off track. There are inherent risks to riding a MTB at high speed, but that doesn't excuse poor course design. Removing obstacles in the B zone when possible should be done.
