Man I dont understand why someone wouldn't want an ebike not to be 160/170mm +. Even technical climbing people motor smash up stuff and the platform "bob" simply doesnt matter as much.

Jeff Kendall-Weed just did a side-by-side ride with a Norco Sight VLT and an Amflow with the power settings matched, and his conclusion was the systems were about equal. My experience on the newest Bosch motor is that it’s more than enough. I ride in the regular emtb mode the majority of the time. I’ll bump it up to emtb+...

Sure you have a point, admittedly there’s irony there. But I’m resolute that I would rather voice my opinion and face those that differ from my own here than at PB. I honestly think there’s a different, less self-adulating while ostracizing forum culture here. And it’s fine if you don’t agree.

I prefer Vital because people are allowed to have different opinions here—most people seem to remember we’re just talking about expensive toys for grownups on this site. I can’t go to pinkbike anymore because of the holier-than-thou attitude on all topics, and if you don’t agree you are treated like a leper. I don’t have extreme opinions by any means...

I’m not sure that Norco is actually dropping the Optic, but I do know that it didn’t sell as well as the Sight. The average customer just doesn’t understand a high pivot, small travel bike. As an Optic owner, I can tell you that it’s the most fun trail bike I’ve ever ridden, but the majority of riders are unwilling...
