krisrayner Added a reply to Should Enduro Be a Riding Type?

I've always felt Enduro was a race type done on trail or AM bikes. But if people are intent on making it a new bike catagory, I second getting rid of the All Mountain grouping. XC, Trail, Enduro, DH. Plus size doesn't get included.

Curious how the JS Tuned VPP compares with the Santa Cruz setup on say, a Bronson. Partly because I now have one of those Float X shocks off a Palmer edition and want to run it in my Bronson.

Was there any need to use carbon friction paste on any parts of the stem or bars?

Ah those were the days. When riders actually wore body armor. We've already seen some pretty bad injuries lately. Binggeli was pretty fortunate to still be riding after breaking his femur. TV has desensitized us to the risks these guys are taking.

krisrayner Added a comment about news story Richie Rude and Tracy Moseley Win EWS Samoens

Wins like this showcase a riders talent so much better than DH. The chance to go up against so many talented, world class riders...and over multiple runs, but just one brief DH run. I love DH, but Rude is proving himself against a stacked field in the EWS

Definitely the cleanest integration I've yet seen. Even room for a water bottle in the front triangle. But with where I'd be limited to riding this thing, it just doesn't make sense. In California, riding it anywhere other than OHV trails is gonna cause issues

You sold me on them. After a couple hundred miles I'm thoroughly happy with them. The California drought stricken trails in SLO are dishing out the abuse and these Breakouts are handling it great.

I love how most all bike reviewers say to go Wide Wide Wide, even changing out bars on test bikes, yet so many pro riders run right about 740-750 on trail bikes.
