It's true, Specialized teams weren't the only ones doing it this year. It's been seen in gravel too, but for aero benefits up front and comfort out back. And the "Win Tunnel" is what Specialized calls their wind tunnel, that's not a typo – if that's what people were implying.

I think you’re mostly right but there’s some weird artifacts in this image. Hopefully just a bad edit but the perspective is whack

I actually don't think this is that. The image may have been AI-generated (I don't actually think it is) but I believe this was done intentionally to play off "flipping the script" of making the deeper-section wheel on the front instead of traditionally being on the back... so the joke image is that they put a rear wheel on the front and a front wheel on the rear.

Instead of a bottle cage range extender, and based on the fact you can incorporate a 900w battery in a downtube, why not have a semi permanent internal 600w battery low down in the downtube, and a removable 300w battery higher up the downtube? Can double as storage when not using the 300w, and that must be an easier connection? Would also be easier to carry a spare 300w battery in a backpack if you needed 1200w for a BIG day out. The ebike I want, no one is going to make - DH mini mullet. But, it shouldn't be...

Not really sure what short-stroking would accomplish. If the goal is to make the bike pedal better, just run less sag and keep the full stroke length — you’ll get a snappier feel under power and maintain the same bottom-out support. Alternatively, try adding a bit more low-speed compression instead of changing the geometry. Short-stroking and running 30% sag basically does the same thing as keeping the full stroke and reducing sag slightly. But if you want to preserve the same geometry, start with more LSC first.

I’m wondering if you find the drag of the pinion system to noticeable or excessive

Alright - this is the first that I will entirely admit did not cross the idea board. Solid thought on that one. 10/10

This is a great answer. We can harp on about proportional chainstays all we want but the truth is that none of this shit is proportional. It’s not really clear what is and isn’t preserved when changing frame sizes. In reality most people that want to see proportional chain stays just want to see longer chainstays on their bike. They...

I happen to ride an XL. We thoroughly acknowledge the logic behind size specific chainstays, although we are a business, and like any, we need to make cost/benefit decisions. For a bike to "feel" exactly the same throughout an entire size range, every dimension needs to be scaled accordingly. That includes it's components - most notably, wheel size (axle height). We hear the argument for size specific chainstays, although from business & physics perspectives, it is a much more complicated subject than most care to acknowledge. At the end of the day, this bike in an XL kicks ass. Come...

This is something that is very useful to know and I appreciate the companies that make it easy to access. A lot of people want to either upgrade the shock or bring over a high end damper they already own. So this makes it much easier to get that person set up properly if the bike company hasn't already supplied detailed settings and spring rates for that shock
