This seems to be going along the route professional skiing has already gone: Competing as national level is doable for a lot of people but as soon as you transition to international junior category it becomes crazy expensive. I know this from a first hand, a sister of a friend was a national skiing champ pretty much her whole juvenile...

AFAIK chains don't actually stretch in any meaningful way, the rollers (and maybe the pins) wear allowing the rollers to sit off-center on the pins. The plates stay the same length. (Or am I missing what you're gettting at?)

No Warner, no Wyn, no Lawlor. They should probably cancel it at this stage.

The red is a small belt. Specialized is going after the Gates $100,000 just like the other teams, they are just being stealthy about it. I hope that's it just because it would be funny.

Exactly this, we've had amazing juniors in the past who absolutely dominated the field but not everyone really made it in the elite, for example Finn took a few years before winning his first elite race (has been close a lot of times though) and even Vali struggled in the first year but she pulled it together eventually while Jackson...

this press release i just received seemed pretty tech but maybe it belongs in the geometry thread. i'll start here... I am reaching out to you because I believe your audience would be interested in our company's launch in early May and the two new products we're launching with, the Cardio Speeder and the Super-E. These are the first-ever "procumbent flying position" electric bikes on the market. The procumbent flying position, a new riding position invented by Martoni CEO, Marty Williams, is a posture that combines ergonomic riding with speed. On a procumbent bike, there is no saddle; riders step...
