CascadeComponents Liked a reply to forum topic 2026 MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation - Longer and Slacker
1/21/2026 1:25am If designed to the same max load, a 35 mm bar is approximately 10% stiffer. The required cross sectional area of the 35 mm bar is also smaller, so it would be lighter. Below is an example where the bar is evaluated as a basic cantilevered beam where the length is 400 mm and the load is 450 N. r1 and r2 correspond to the 35 mm bar and r3 and r4 correspond to the 31.8 mm bar.

1/19/2026 12:36am Scrap all the rest of the team rumours, this is the only one that matters. Need to get Gofundme together to buy the rights and launch the team.

1/16/2026 12:46am Hope they do all of the track walks in full balkan style three stripes tracksuits! (we all know this is probably related to the Adidas owning 5.10 but there might be more to the story, anyways it is indeed great news to get such a big name as a sponsor)

1/13/2026 12:59am Can’t go off what’s been done in the past as UCI changed the date to Nov 15th. Presumably so contracts can end then as well instead of Jan 1 and riders that have new teams can start with the new product earlier.

1/12/2026 1:34am IIRC 15th Januray is the team/riders registration deadline, it takes some time for the UCI to release the rosters then

12/25/2025 11:27am Brage should pick up a page from his countryman, Isak Leivson and start garage building his own bikes. Those long summer nights aren’t just good for digging!

12/24/2025 3:35am Enduro junior women world champion Nežka Lipnik said she didn't receive any offers for next season even though she won every international race she entered by quite some margin... Apparently she is also waiting for a downhill bike. Sourced from here Nežka Libnik tudi v 2026 v domačem klubu, a na novem kolesu - mtb.si - mountain bike Slovenija

12/17/2025 5:35am It seems people are quite fast to forget about "outside" sponsors, AON is sponsored by campervan company, Dorval AM is an investment fund, never actually heard how they even got into DH? And its even funnier on the road side, Jumbo Visma was a partnership between a grocery store chain and an IT company and Red Bull - Bora -...

12/15/2025 12:45am I believe the two "oldest" bikes on the market right now are S Enduro (2020) and Banshee Titan (2019) and they are both still perfectly relevant going into 2026... I'd say Titan became even more popular as the time went by which is pretty funny in modern times but I'd say there are more and more of us who dont...

12/11/2025 11:32pm This support is offered to anyone racing world cups, full service and even replacements if needed. Back in the days when 4x was still popular a privateer friend broke an internal of a fork, went to SRAM pits and one of the mechanics said that they are fully booked for today so they cant service that for him right now...

11/20/2025 2:55am In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

11/17/2025 10:19am I've posted a story last week how Keith's personal prototype was stolen, he said only the swingarm is new to test some things, from the photo it didnt really look any different. There were some pictures from some time ago where it looked like it could house UDH. Thats what I remember. I always had the idea Banshee would not...
