9/25/2023 7:37am watching the scoring, it looked like Asa had a 1.5ish second lead over Minnaar at the 3rd split and then only got him by .1 at the finish. So Asa lost some time between 3 and the finish, while dak must have been super clean.

I marshalled M2 at the chicane to log drop all weekend & would love to have set up my GoPro & done a line comparison there. Pinkerton & Medcalf ran trains together non-stop and were hitting an inside rock tip to avoid the off camber chicane as opposed to the Pro class most all running the wide line. I would be willing to put money on that 1.3 seconds all being that line choice. Do y’all race Downhill Southeast? There are so many teams aligned with that series(like Transition Factory Racing, IFR, Gravity Academy and obviously Frameworks) that are actively involved in building up North American racing and racers, and are committed to getting people overseas. The feeling of connectivity between the groms and the pointy end of the pro field is palpable. There is no magic funding stream available for the national governing body to help with gravity racing(unless the Walton family gets into it, i guess)- it really comes down to supporting the races that bring the community together, and making your...

5/4/2023 5:39am Stacked field for Pro men this weekend at Windrock DHSE... According to the pre-race podcast some of the top names include Gwin, Grice, Vermette, Dooley, DeDora, Nicholson and Pinkerton. I guess this isn't part of Dak's ramp up to UCI. Should be a fun weekend with 50%+ chance of rain Friday-Sunday.

Be careful. The number of times a "grown-up" has thought he knows what's "Best" for a kid, and has backfired is currently at 23 hundred billion. Starting with Ogg jr, whose uncle wanted him to be a dinosaur hunter at age 16, all the way up to Gianni Italia Jr, who was a very fast talented MTB rider and when coaches thought they knew what he really wanted, he just quit and hasn't ridden a bike since. Please tread VERY carefully.
