Yes, Bryn only rides OG High Rollers...from a particular batch produced in 2016, aged in a temperature and humidity controlled cellar, and pre-conditioned with extra virgin olive oil prior to riding.

Update, actual trail ride review: I cut 11/16 (17.5mm) off each end of the handlebar to make it right at 30" (762mm) wide. It now fits me much better, never liked the super wide bars. I think I'll actually run the stock stem for now, narrowing the bars really help the whole bike feel better. My first trail ride was a 7 mile prairie trail with short (1/8-1/4 mile) steep climbs/drops with some sand, hard clay, rocks, and occasional root. The base that's 80% of the trail is hard pack clay. Go for it. The difference in bar height can be remedied by moving around headset spacers or handlebar rise, and the change in BB height is pretty minimal. And if you're upgrading to a fork with a significantly better damper and/or air spring, you will absolutely notice that on a DH bike. Dual crown forks can can be adjusted up and down in the crowns to change axle to crown height, so it's worth measuring your current 650b fork to see if it's showing 203mm of stanchion between the seal and the crown. I like my bike high and short, due to my riding style, my body, and my back. I have long legs, and a short torso, and like having the bike pretty much as nimble as possible. BMX and freeride background. I run either 40mm or 50mm rise bars on all my bike, including my downcountry bike. 32-38mm stem, with typically at least 20mm spacers underneath. What you should expect from any cockpit change like this is that it's going to feel VERY NOTICEABLE at first, and then less noticeable over time. Try not to think too hard about how it feels right away, because that can be a mental rabbit hole. The key to tuning like this is to try to forget about it and get on with the task of riding the bike. Ive been really liking them! I ended up switching to an Enduro casing in the rear for a little stiffer sidewall, but the Trail casing up front feels great and is a little more supple.

Always glad to see less expensive bikes tested. The sweet spot for me personally is around $4-5k bikes, obviously after that (Maybe even a little before) you see diminishing returns. An idea for a future article/video I'd really love to see is some in-depth information on building your own bike. It would be cool to see different opinions on theory crafting how you choose a frame, component specs, and how you go about finding and buying all the gear, whether it be new or used. And what OCD quirks people have about color matching components etc. Also tips on putting...
