Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

I have been using an older version (one coming with 2 sets of lens: one clear, one darker) for 3 years. Good Q/P. Still using them for bike commuting every week but cant imagine wearing them as "casual" sport glasses.

Just to give you guys a quick update - I am fully pausing on rolling out further beta testing simply because you guys helped me see there is a much better opportunity here than I maybe thought originally. If I can add my 2 cents here. I don't think Sram paid Jack, or the team, anything. That whole YT deal is that they run whatever they want because they don't take money from any sponsors. Now I think that was changing because the industry is struggling and they probably saw how much money they were losing out on. My best guess is YT asked Sram to pay to support the team and they said no, so YT doubled down on the TRP/Fox association they had already been building. Never seen one of these types of racks on cars because they're not official approved by EU regulations. (the car pictured above seemed to be an English one, so not EU...) I know one French manufacturer (EXP'PYR) selling somme approved racks but I have never seen one.

I still recommend it. As far as I remember, only the back protection reachs level 2. Other parts are level 1. About spine protection, I believe most of lumbar vertebrae are covered/protected. 3 years ago I bought the SCOTT Softcon Hybrid Pro. Why am I sharing this, and why might another rider want to read this? I'm a (modestly) credentialed, (modestly) working scientist with no present affiliation to the any part of the bike industry. Teaching quantitative reasoning and technical communication skills is the lion's share of what I do for work. I'm not a 'sci-comm' professional trying to drive attention toward a podcast about bikes or a bike youtuber trying to grab attention by deploying keywords like data or science. I don't have a vested interest in either bike setup being faster than the other. So let this be my attempt...
