As long as you have either an upper guide or clutch derailleur you should be fine. I like the guide, either way. Keeps the chain from rolling off the top.

Nice vid. Smooth. Interesting though, one of the supposed virtues of 29ers is how they roll over bumps better than 26ers (so I've read), yet it seems most of the marketing videos show people cruising through smoothies like this one. Where's the vids of 29ers in the gnar?

Well Im totally with AC on the Enduro format, the US way is not the way forward for Enduro if it is stay stay alive and be long term sustaining, riders want the challenge thats whats unique to Enduro the only thing I agree with BL on is riding to stages, like AC this keeps the venues open and also allows for new and more options to develop and may also minimise course knowledge and over pre practice from locals, but even that swings in roundabouts, as each location is an advantage and disadvantage so it balances out. 2 days...

I'm leaning the other way on this. It is cool that there was a race and people had fun, but it's not really following the enduro format. It is necessary to follow a formula because that's what made it popular in the first place. If people want to grow as racers they can go race Super Ds or Super XCs or Downhill races. Like I said before, it's good they had a race and it was fun, but don't call it "first major U.S. enduro race of the year" if it's not really a true enduro race.

I guess since its 4 stages it is an enduro. But still N America failing to grasp the enduro part of racing. Sounded like super d stage race or super XC. What was the distance and vert drop per stage? Contrary to popular USA belief it does not have to be a mix between and endurance. Often stages in Europe will have zero uphill, maybe the odd pinch connector climb, to allow for long DH runs. Trails are often as tech or more tech than WC DH tracks. Enduro is getting a bit abused here.

Other than a similar shock cavity: completely different rear end, head tube junction different, straight down tube vs. curved (tr450), curved top tube vs. straight w/gusset (tr450), linkage and angles (suspension curve - probably) are different. Suppose it's okay that's there's 8 million Bottle Rocket knock-offs though... Or DW/VPP... Or standard single pivots like Orange, or that Pivot basically resuscitated the Sunday... or..
