Bass -Ackwards... it SHOULD be a privilege to have the pros race for a sanctioning body, Instead, they try to make it privilege for them join/race within that spectrum. Didn't the Enduro community come up with a non-UCI solution?

Keen update and photos. Also agree about the slopestyle features. I understand - it probably helps the hype for people that are not too hip to the scene. But I think "The Claw's" statement last year with his line and run said it all. And I also get the "evolution/progression" thing, though I don't believe it needs to include slopestyle features. Maybe he, or another promoter will come up wth a contest that harken back to the roots of Rampage. That said, I'm still anxious to see it go down

Paying bills? Paying bills via riding/racing reflects reality no more than it does for F1 drivers, NASCAR, pro basketball or football. These athletes are at the pinnacle of their sports, and they are rewarded thusly. The UCI World Cup series was picked up for sponsorship/broadcast by Red Bull for 2012, how that reflects a sport barely treading water or loss...

In this instance, the transmitter was just in my pocket, and I had activated the self timer with the camera firing a 10 frame burst when time's up. Sorta a copout, sorta not... Most of the time though, I've taped the transmitter to my handlebar near the brake lever. Not crazy about that set up either - it's cool for non-technical riding shots, but I've found hitting the button to be a lot harder when airborne or in the middle of a wallride or the like. I read somewhere that Danny Way mounted one inside his helmet, and actually activated...

Thanks - I'm using a radio-remote shutter release. Cheapo Amazon.com version for now, will eventually get a "real" one.
