On the other hand, compared to large players, it's not really unreasonably priced. It's not much more expensive than what Fox charges for their top of the line products in many cases. But it is a lot more niche.

Reasonably priced… it’s Intend. Love their stuff, but none of it was reasonably priced so far. Even if the price is justified through production volume/company size etc. However, I am curious, too, what Cornelius came up with…

Well there you have it. New business idea: superboost wheel rental. No competition. Charge the full price of the wheel as rental price fee. Rent it out twice you made money lol…

I don't even like playing the "Who has a 148 rear wheel I can borrow [with my preferred freehub interface and/or a cassette of similar size and # of speeds that's compatible with my chain]?" game. I don't think I would like the 157mm SuperBoost version of that game.

A German YouTuber got an Amflow/DJI bike and rode it as much as possible, and supposedly the quality of the DJI motor is not that great once you rack up miles. Of course it’s one guy, not hundreds. But I am curious to see what the reality vs. the hype is.

No doubt about all the pressure on the pinky fingers. All my grips are worn down to the plastic underneath (meaty paws) on the pinky ends. Doesn’t help I overlap my pinky fingers over the ends of the grips. Always been my comfort spot but it’s weird. I’d be curious how this would feel since I wouldn’t be able to overlap but would def give me more area to pressure with how I grip. Hmm

Texi - and I assume Jack - are fine for now. Things will continue for them as normal. At least for Texi and I think for Jack, too.

Prediction for the new Ripmo AF: all frame sizes will come with an 87mm head tube length.

I don’t mean to make light of a bad situation, but this felt inevitable. Anyone with any level of inside knowledge of the bike industry could look at YT from 30,000 feet and perhaps wonder if they have long had a money tree or maybe the operation was a money laundering front for the cartel.\ Some head scratchers, in no particular order: -Aggressively low prices (like...how is this possible low pricing) -Bloated SKU count (for them, its mostly the number of builds they have per model of bike) -Complex global supplier web (true for everyone, but their vendor count is...

I've been fretting over stuffing a Frankenstein'd wheel with 150mm spacing into a standard boost frame for the past week. Between having a bright, trustworthy industry individual tell me not to sweat +/-1(or 2) mm at the axle, and reading your comments, I feel not so worried 🤣🤣🤣

I'm in agreement. They look pretty tidy all things considered. The adjustability/morphing factor is kinda the same reason that drove me to nab my first carbon rig, a V3 Ripmo. Swap a link n shock and kerpow, Ripley. Slap in a 27.5 for more jump filled days. Really, it's thinning the herd as one bike is replacing two, which will make road tripping with it a lot easier.

Regarding those new Trek fuel ex’s, I think Trek did themselves good by departing from these “busy”-looking frames. I actually really like the look of the new frame. But the beauty is in the eye of the beholder… And big yes to adaptability on suspension travel, geometry and wheel sizes. I think the YT could h e done that easily...

Typical Dave with his absolute claims. Things like 15mm stems are the only way and anything else is too flexy and unusable. Using XC tires on his "enduro" bike. Claiming everyone should have a bike 2 sizes up with 1300mm+ wheelbase and any bike with pedal kickback is completely useless etc etc. Granted he has some interesting theories but the way he dismisses everyone in the industry gets old real fast. This rebranded product is the perfect example of his attitude. He's numero uno and we're all plebs.

I don’t know anything about sizing or the thirstmaster. But obviously it’s time to bring an update. Texi is on a prototype, and I’m very certain their product development guy, Erick Irmsch is one riding too if I’m not mistaken. I don’t think there will be a flip chip for mullet conversion, it’ll still be a different frame (I really...

The real question is “why do bike companies spec such short dropper posts on their bikes?” Give the people all the drop that’s possible. Any bike that comes with less than 210mm drop needs to be upgraded. Obviously, if it’s a light weight XC bike, it may not be necessary. But once a bike hits the trail or all mountain...

Sounds like a very German name. I’d just wanna be called Prof. “Prof, your fancy cotton candy spiced late, with skim milk and our signature nasty burnt coffee bean flavor is ready for you!”
