12/20/2025 7:09am Here’s the thing. People get hired into positions of power. They start thinking “I gotta do something!!!” The problem begins when “do something” turns into “change the thing”. The “something” they could do is at all costs protect the core identities that surround the current position. With all the current fuck-ups in business branding you’d think some lessons had been learned. Nope, they can’t help themselves. I actually appreciate that the logo on my 2025 Fox Factory DHX2 is exactly the same logo that was on the shock on my 1994 Cannondale Super-V 1000, and on my Fox Factory Twin-Clicker...

Werewolflotion Added a reply to Does Unsprung Weight Really Impact MTB Suspension Performance?
12/15/2025 6:34pm In my experience, if you remove enough weight it can make a truly significant difference. Back in like 2017, I set out to drop as much weight off the rear wheel as I could, going from stock low-end everything to high-end everything. I dropped 700ish grams and it made a massive difference in not only suspension performance (it could flutter...

12/15/2025 6:14am I believe the two "oldest" bikes on the market right now are S Enduro (2020) and Banshee Titan (2019) and they are both still perfectly relevant going into 2026... I'd say Titan became even more popular as the time went by which is pretty funny in modern times but I'd say there are more and more of us who dont really buy into latest trends of blingbling marginal gains and are perfectly happy with a simple, capable, reliable and affordable bike and Banshee ticks all of those.

12/15/2025 6:14am Quarter HP just did a revisit on the Titan, and seat post insertion was one of the knocks on a six year old frame.. Considering that 170 was long at that point, that's not bad..

12/7/2025 12:15pm I'm curious how long the batteries on wireless brakes would last... In a car, with cables, it's ok to be constantly sending the brakes the pedal's position, but in a radio environment (especially when you want high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR)), you would want to be sending out a constant stream of position data at a reasonable power... My wireless headphones have a fairly substantial battery and they last ~10 hours of play time. Would the brakes (which in my mind are a pretty similar system, electro-mechanical with high SNR requirements) last only 10 hours? Is this acceptable for...
