Defining the new Nomad left me scratching my head for words. Most everything I wrote sounded like a cliché directly from the 2009 Handbook for Mountain Bike Journalists. "A trail bike that descends like a downhill bike." "A mini-DH bike that can pedal." Yeah, they've both been used ad-nauseam... The ultimate irony to my cliché-laden articulation strugglefest is that the new Nomad is anything but cliché. At a time when most companies seem to be chasing the perfect mid-travel trail bike or eeking every millisecond out of an enduro race bike, Santa Cruz’s latest Nomad iteration seems to be built...

The set of Spank 33's I now own are the 26 inch version and on their 3rd bike since being purchased in 2012. They were built up on Dt Swiss hubs and run on a 2012 Giant Reign X. They were then given to another friend who laced them to Hope Pro 3 hubs and ran them on another 2012 Giant Reign X. And now the rims laced to the Hope hubs live on my park bike. 3 riders, 3 bikes, a ton of rides, zero issues. No wobbles, no dents, nothing, and it wasn't for a lack of trying...

The UCI has managed to make my already low opinion of them even lower. From the slim DH schedule, too many average courses and high fees to venues they really seem to not give a crap about WCDH. UCI please go chug a fat, veiny throbber.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Vital did not remove the EWS doping thread. It seems as if the user who created the thread has deleted it. Every Vital user has the right to delete their forum posts at any time. Because I featured it on the homepage, once the user deleted the post, it was automatically gone from the homepage, too. It also looks like the tweet from reece_w that kicked off that whole post has been removed from his twitter account. - [i]edit - reece has since reached out to us and said all he'd heard was...
