As someone whose fairly small company just got acquired by a big one, I can tell you that previous owners and leadership who were involved from day 1 have a very difficult time suddenly reporting to someone, especially a corporation. They lose control that they probably didn't even consciously consider that they had before they sold out. The obvious response is "what'd you expect...", but with all the corporate promises they were likely fed beforehand there'll pretty likely be some bitterness there. If it's been 6 years, it's pretty impressive that it took this long.

Brands will look at how someone exits other brands. Assuming that they have apparently had a good relationship, leaving with a note of thanks, even if you are disappointed, shows your professionalism and potentially what you will be like to work with. I worked in marketing for a while and whenever anyone was engaged to represent the brand, we trawled their back catalogue of press and social media to make sure they aligned with our brand values both during and at exit. This sort of thing would be a red flag because it suggests potentially a loose cannon. Those not...

I agree with DubC. I have not read PB's review of the Grappler to know their testing conditions, length of test, etc. But I didn't find the MoPo compound deteriorated faster than Maxxis' MaxxGrip in the rocky, hard pack, and loose conditions I tested in. You can see in the photos above that even though the knobs are pretty beaten up, the shape/edges are still mostly intact and none of the knobs are tearing off. Between MoPo/MaxxGrip, it's tough to say that one has better long-term durability than the other. And like I said above, if I'm picking the softest...

Thanks Jason, Wow! That sounds awesome to have more front tire grip at high lean angles. I'll definitely buy one. Certainly cheaper than the Assegai DH ($112 vs $69). See everybody! You won't get this type of feedback from Pinkbike.
