I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there. Nevertheless, I think I have some unique credibility here. So if you will endulge...

I think there's more to than than just trying the shave down the cost. It makes good business sense to spec bikes with good components but ones that leave you wanting more (e.g. compression adjustment) - chances are that you will upgrade and they will make money again

I wouldn't call it "next level" but it's a lot better than their prior stuff. Basically vital raw (and I mean that as high praise) but with a some annoying voice over at the start, a few artsy/fartsy slow mo landscape shots which I sorta like, and some annoying graphics. Not terrible. Not something anyone would pay for tho.

nice one mate - they look pretty cool! I am always a bit cautious when knee pads don't have any straps or similar. Don't they get elongated/loose after some use?

Tld stage is nice but runs a bit small. I wear a m/l in their half shell and wish I had gone l/xl with the stage. Personally I wouldn’t sacrifice any protection on the knee pads for racing. If the transfers are long enough on a hot day 1 minute to remove/replace them is no biggie. And if it’s cool I don’t even notice them anyways.

check out the Chromag knee pads, the rift Rift Knee Guard – Chromag Bikes I've done all day pedals in them and they remain comfortable. I can literally feel the air flowing through them when I'm coasting. They are comfy and good coverage, my current go to for riding or racing.
