I've actually been thinking of dropping some subtle bullshit in my articles to see if I can catch someone slippin. I think I'll start doing it for the bounty. Basically said the fest series imposed rules on who can or can’t ride at a fest event and imposed rules on type of content that he can share. Obviously Sam didn’t agree with the rules and agreed to split ways. Didn’t throw any jabs their way or try to defend his character. His approach to the situation is really respectable. The fest guys, well not so much.

The only thing that I can think of is Sam's build videos on his YouTube channel. Are they concerned that he's making too much off of those? Frankly, I'm often disappointed with the coverage of other Fest Series events. They show up out of nowhere, give a lackluster amount of coverage and then are gone.

Someone (can't remember who) pointed out that the reverse arch design patent that Manitou/Answer/Hayes owns is expiring this fall. I thought it was on this article, but it's not. They believe this fork will have to wait until then to be released. That does raise the question, is anyone else going to try the reverse arch? I realize at this point it's also a visual differentiation between brands but if it is advantageous weight-wise I would think someone may try to switch to it.

The lack of Poc in the sport is a huge issue for the industry. If they aren’t riding bikes they aren’t buying bikes. Seems like a worthwhile investment for the major companies who can only help their bottom line in the future. Especially as demographics of the us are statistically changing. Trying to bring people of color into your sport isn’t social justice it is good business. Where would mlb, nfl, or nba be without people of color dominating the sports star power.
