Yep it’s off. Reason it’s an Ebike is twofold - they are a big big team many riders and staff, so the ebike got the nod over a trail bike. Good for recovery and discovery and getting to the pits. Their training is quite regimented so it’s not like they need to go on long xc rides between races. Plenty of fun trails around The venue to have fun on without tiring themselves out

That's some Balfa level home depot hardware on that link 😂. One step above carriage bolts. But really, absolutely love to see this bike evolve over the years in such a non year by year way. Commmencal just do it when it's an advantage to racing and not because "it's time for the new one". The current surpreme and this proto both mixing it up at the top proves how much effort they put into their teams and bikes. Also always awesome to see Max waiting at the bottom for his riders to come down at almost every race. I've...

Hey guys, just wanted to jump on here and say thank you to all who is supporting me throughout this situation! It means a lot to have you guys backing me through it. It was a tough pill to swallow forsure but I know everything will work out in the end. Excited to get on track this weekend in Maribor!

The 12-speed road cassettes are only compatible with their 12-speed 'flat top' road chains, which are themselves only compatible with their 12-speed AXS road derailleurs, because... reasons. (Different roller sizes and tooth widths. Reasons.) But, uh, "Infinite ways to gravel," right? Just not that way. That's not one of the infinite ways.

Not a Tach Rumor but I saw this posted in the comments section of another site and thought it was an interesting read: www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/service-manuals/rockshox/rockshox-suspension-theory-guide-rev-c.pdf

I sense a D. Wygle podcast on the horizon Has he been on the inside line? I only know of him from Cam's videos, but seems like an interesting dude with the nitro circus connection etc.

From my perspective, it’s not about the corn rows, but the combination of them with the use of the N word. I’m sorry, unless you just woke up today in the middle of nowhere, you know the significance of the N word. It was a BS excuse and poor apology, especially from a world-class athlete that has traveled the world. And kudos to Muc-Off: https://m.pinkbike.com/news/muc-off-withdraws-commencal-21-sponsorship-…

Reading that Muc-Off is apparently rescinding? withholding? their sponsorship for the rest of the season based on this incident. (Question marks because I'm not sure of the exact financial details.) And funding some kind of training/educational course for Amaury. Glad to see it.

Looks like SRAM are working on a new integrated braking system, similar to the Magura MCI system. The big advantages here are that there don't appear to be any holes in the bar, so it should fit a standard bar. Also, this should be rotationally adjustable, unlike prior systems that were in fixed positions. Good pictures in this one too, if you want to check it out. https://wheelbased.com/2021/07/29/handlebar-integrated-master-cylinder-assembly-by-sram/

There is a bit of a personality trait at play here, and it's quite common in elite athletes when shit goes wrong. It's called a "external locus of control" in short, they can't grasp the idea that when something doesn't go to plan that it is a failure of their own/process. The athlete will deflect or blame anything and everything but themselves refusing to acknowledge they f&*(ked up. This is a bit of a broad generalization, but something worth mentioning. Hopefully he can learn from it and use it to fuel the fire inside to kick ass in the future.

Ah yes, Europe, a land famously free from racism.... I'm sure that all the people drowning in the Mediterranean or the English channel for having the temerity to be brown would agree with you.... Personally I've found much of the reaction to his post very disappointing. It's mostly along the lines of "it's too personally inconvenient for us to think that he might not have innocently posted a racial slur because we enjoy his bike riding so let's not bother and all agree he's a nice guy"

Everyone saying "he is french he doesn't understand "American" issues yada yada" This type of thing isn't only an issue in America. He can't play dumb like he doesn't know. It is everywhere. After a quick check, he follows Lewis Hamilton so at the very least he has seen the plethora of posts from Lewis about the issue.
