Since you have never mountain biked, my first thought would be to go with the lesser expense. If you love the sport, progress rapidly and can find fault with the Giant, then you could always upgrade components.

For Episode 3 of The Wyn or Lose podcast, I had none other than Team Chain Reaction Cycles Nukeproof team manager Nigel Page on, and he gave some really great insights to how he managed to sign Sam Hill to his team and also very nearly signed Josh Brycleand. I have cut this out separate to his episode as it was great to hear how it all came together to get Sam on to his team, and some great stories from working as his team manager.

5/27/2019 3:27am I've got a Kenevo. Had a levo. Levo definitely more fun on trails. Kenevo is a sled. I put a 160 fork on my levo and it would do anything no dramas. That's actually where I least like mine. They can be a bit of a pig on relatively flat stuff... Coming from moto, going down they're awesome. Stable and still flickable, it's just what you're used to riding... Obviously going up they're great. I never get the hate, isn't it about having fun? Well, they're literally, more riding, more ups, more down, more fun!

Apparently everyone forgot to tell these two nobodies that ebikes are only for losers and old fat guys. Haha Seriously though, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Percent of people who hate ebikes before they try one: ~100% Percent of people who hate ebikes after they try one: ~0%
