Aside from the mis-matched seats - it's good to see the Athertons on a set up that's composed of British-made components.. Hopefully we see a dismissal of Lord Bummer and a return to Earthed-esque level shredding and destruction

I've had a chance to spend a few days on this bike with both pedal laps and shuttle laps. Its descending prowess is incredible - playful like a much smaller bike, yet confidence inspiring like the Phoenix. DH spots such as Port Angeles are where this bike shines. Pedaling the bike is better than the Mach 6; this is completely arbitrary but it felt 10-15% more efficient and comfortable. For those in search of that "one bike fits all", the Firebird is certainly one to keep in mind.
