DH is a hard sport to watch because it’s too fast and subtle for the average viewer to get it all visually and the background is so much more complicated and distracting than F1 or moto or ski races, which are on neat clear tracks and it’s generally obvious when something happens. I know Kolb said he had offers for much more money but chose YT because apparently it was a long (think 5 year) contract. I really feel sorry for him thinking he was going to be at a place for the long haul to only loose everything before the end of the first season.

I don't understand what you are getting at. YT made a financial commitment to those racers, those racers fulfilled their end of the agreement and Markus failed to pay them what he owed them. Whether you think a race team is a good investment or not, a business owner should pay their obligations. While it may be legal to not pay the team members it isn't ethical.

It’s not supposed it’s in the rule book. Teams have to be registered by Nov 15th including who is on the team. No set date for when the teams get announced by the UCI. In the past it’s been a month after the deadline but I would guess it wouldn’t be until Jan 1 when current contracts expire.
