Fantastic-looking build! Why did you swap the Reverb for the KS Lev? Weight? Reliability?

Swap? I never had a Reverb on it

Ah right. I'm thinking of purchasing the SX myself. The down tube protrudes forward of the chain ring somewhat, have you had a problem with it hitting obstacles at all or is ground clearance still good?

With a 180mm fork up front I haven't tagged anything yet with the down tube (or even the e*Thirteen bash guard)... plus the frame does have a thick molded guard on it just in case.

Nice build...will those tires withstand the abuse this bike is supposed to push you ?

This is the first time I'm trying Schwalbe tires (normally I run Continentals) and so far they seem pretty capable.

hope torque caps give more stiffnes?
    good staff!

That's what they're supposed to do, although I'm still fine-tuning the setup so i can't say if they actually do make the front end stiffer to the point that the rider can feel it.

    I liked it right away
but when I saw the pirate logo.....

    How does it pedal?

  • Raine

    9/26/2017 10:17 AM

Not bad...obviously it's built more for going down than up, but the 46t rear helps a bit. It won't climb like a hardtail XC, but it can climb.

Thanks but I am looking for a comparison to current Enduro bikes like (Specialized Enduro, Santa Cruz Nomad, Trek Slash....), I know it isn't a XC hard tail dude.

Well coming from a Meta V4, it feels pretty close. Bike is obviously slightly heavier, and the saddle position is farther back.

Would you still consider it an enduro worthy bike? or is it too much for that more of a pure park bike?

    A show bike, right?
Those rotors aren't even used. And no dust remnants inside the bolt heads. I'm suspicious...

  • Raine

    9/25/2017 10:58 PM

You're right - the rotors haven't been used and there was no dust in the bolt heads... because it was a fresh, brand new build. If you read the photo captions, it says that all the photos were taken right before the first ride... so no, it's not a show bike.

not everyday that people are providing the length of their chain in the build description. Sick bike.

    9/25/2017 1:43 PM

I had to mention it because I had to buy two chains =X a 116-link wasn't long enough
