Great bike! I was wondering if you did some calculations on required wall thickness and tube size? Bike sure looks rigid enough but what makes you comfortabele to go big with bike?

Interesting question!! Sure I did all the FEA calculation. First on all single part, and then on a full ASSY frame in the SAG and bottoming out position to have a global idea.
And sure the bike is really stiff and tubing are over dimensioned at the front compare to what you will find on a normal bike.

What are the geometry numbers? And I guess we need to know for reference, what are your geometry numbers?

Geometry numbers are not that good especially in lenght compare to my size... So let just say I did mistakes that I will not do again Wink

What is the small circular detail where the top tube meets the seat tube? Full build weight?

very impressive and a really nice change compared to what is currently on the market. raw is always cool (at least in my opinion :-) )

congrats for the bike of the day and keep up the good work ...plus have fun riding it :-)

The small circular part is the integrated seat clamp. Concerning the final build weight, it is heavier than most of the bike you can buy, but it is my first prototype!! But it's around 18-19kg

Great looking bike. Really well thought out details, and skillfully fabricated. Very nicely done.
Assuming it's 6061 or similar; I've been wondering if you get much distortion from heat treating a welded frame, and if / how you would realign it.

did you weighted theframe only?. it's that much wheight because of all the cns that it has?

when are planing for a second one?

The little kind of eccentric which is supporting the rocker is here as a linkage!! You have to imagine it as a really small linkage with a 10mm pitch.

Oh I don't remember the frame alone... that much weight because I oversized the tubing but not so much because of CNC parts.
For a second one, I don't know yet, I will see I have different idea !!

Written in a comment lower, but it is around 19kg!! Sure it is heavy but it is a first try and you never obtain something super light in this case Wink
