A good pedal to check out is Aertime “dekade” pedal, a German brand, comes in two sizes 105x105 or 115x115, 18pins per size 15mm think and 5 years warranty, and can get rebuild kits. Got best pedal in a German mag mtb news, against some pedals in this review.. just got some for my whip, very pleased so far

Ok good, just wanted to clarify. Because OneUp gets a LOT of praise, but I always see it from people who kinda 'hate feedback' and I don't see myself as one of those so I wanted to understand that balance more in terms of scoring. Still open minded on trying it one day but... I feel a lot of confirmation bias against it to pay that price just to find it feels vague on trail.

then I'd love to see one of the current crop of titanium bars included (Roost and/or Stanton) since they make bold claims about compliance

Yeah.. I’ve had chromag bza bars and enve dh 31.8 bars.. personally I found both bars harsh like most 35mm bars from Burgtec, raceface, spank. I use Stanton ti bar and found it to be great at mellowing out big hits, not overly harsh but just enough to take the edge off.. had they would compare to the top carbon bars in this test would be fantastic to find out

Hate to say it, but the dmr vault reliability is very poor. The inboard seal isn’t effective leading to constant contamination issues. If you don’t stay on top of it the bushing that’s right next to that seal gets dirty and dry in pretty short order. You’ll end up with either with that horrid dry squeak or the bushing working its way out of the pedal body towards the crank arm. If you ride in the wet or in the dust I wouldn’t recommend these pedals. Not to mention you need a special tool to do the rebuild...

Why does DMR continue to win these shootouts? I'll just say it....DMR pedals are garbage and I've got no fewer than 3 clapped out sets to prove it. They cost a fortune and only last for only a couple weeks before they start feeling/sounding terrible. Composite pedals from OneUp or PNW feel better, last longer and cost a fraction of the price of any pedal in this shootout.
