5/2/2025 4:21am Get the mavens. You adapt to the available power quickly, and I can’t see myself going back to another brake. Have to think a lot less about braking in general, especially where and how much to brake, is so nice. Started with organic pads and Galfer wave rotors, now on metallic pads and HS2 rotors because I feel like the...

4/15/2025 2:53am About the forum spam: Allow new users to only open new threads after their account is a week (or maybe 3 days or so) old. Allow users with an account less than a month old to only open one new thread a day. Don’t know if the forum architecture supports these rules but these bot accounts are annoying as fuck.

4/8/2025 9:57pm It isn't. Hikers aren't expecting bikes to be passing them uphill at almost 30MPH just like pedestrians aren't expecting cars to be passing them on the sidewalks.

4/8/2025 1:36pm That’s not a Bullit. I’m sorry, but companies need to stop recycling names from bikes with vastly different use intentions. The original Bullit was a budget friendly freeride weapon that was ridden to a podium at Rampage and thrashed in the woods by countless young mountain bikers coming of age with their friends and pioneering the sport. This is a generic e-bike that will be ridden by dentists with more money than fitness or sense. I understand e-bikes are here whether people (I and many) think they should be. But it’s a bummer to see something like the Bullit name...

4/8/2025 9:17am New Commencal Meta HT. Kinda boring in comparison to all the Levo attention, but looks like new brake rotors from sram?

4/5/2025 1:42am Saw the new XTR wireless in person on a bike. Rdr is a lot bigger than cabled, maybe even a tad bigger than transmission. Looks sleek tho. Shifter is also bigger than the sram pods, ergonomics like a normal cable shifter.

4/2/2025 1:25pm I bet this new Norco rides really well. But that aside, thanks what I hate about ebikes- suspension no longer matters, geometry, compliance, none of it matters anymore. The only thing that really matters is the powertrain and the brakes. People fret over things like the quality of the display, whether you can add overdrive to your older motor via a firmware update, etc rather than how the bike rides. Crappy climbing geometry doesn't matter since you can pedal seated with the dropper down. Descending geometry is less critical because the much lower CoG a motor+battery gives you makes up...

3/27/2025 9:26am don’t know what they thought with that color. I’m usually in the boat that colors are either nice, eh or boring, but not actively ugly. The brown and pink combo unfortunately is the latter in my opinion. At least bicyclepubes is probably gonna be happy about the poopcycle.
