Most americans dont realize that the german bike market alone is nearly as big as the entire US bike market. We're too busy doing important things like defending the continued use of the imperial unit system and changing map names to the Gulf of America (aka the gulf of small hands and fragile egos).

Moimoi mentions that sram/rockshox stopped supporting them, and seems quite disappointed about it. Wonder why, he was one of their more successful athletes on the EWS circuit.

We’ve gone full circle to Henry Quinney complaining about influencers bumbling down trails again. That being said, I do agree with him. Not everyone needs to be able to make a living out of his hobby, and way too many influencers suck at riding or are unlikeable donkeys. i dont really consume biking videos besides the stuff the pros put...

The Shimano 12 speed chains have little extensions on the inner links (dynamic chain engagement in marketing speak) so don't mesh well with a standard chainring, you need a DCE/Hyperglide+ compatible one. Looks like there is a 12 speed version of that chainring https://www.bikeparts.co.uk/products/shimano-steps-sm-cre80-12-b-chainr… called the CRE-80-12-B or something like that.

Currently on an ochain with their „universal“ chainring, which somehow gets really noisy when slightly wet. Problem was nonexistent with the XT chainring, ochain says theirs is compatible with hg+, t type flat and all other 12spd options. Anyone know of a HG+ steel chainring for 104 BCD? Have the oneup on order but would be interested if there’s other...

Re: Commencal Had two. 2019 and 2021 Meta AM. The 2019 rode well but had very conservative geometry. Went to the 2021 for the longer reach. One of the fastest non-high pivot bikes I’ve ridden - in a straight line. Very long reach and very short chainstays made it exhausting to ride around corners because you had to get so...

I’ve had two pairs of Mavens and both had one caliper that could be vacuum bled just fine and one that pulled bubbles without end.

long time reader first time poster here.. friends of mine are developing an vacuum bleeder for shocks and fork dampers to fully service your suspension at home, without the need of messy handbleeding. I just got the chance to try the machine myself and it works pretty straight forward. I thought i spread the word in here because i think this is a pretty cool innovation in the mtb tech for home mechanics/ race day applications etc. https://www.futureliteindustries.com/

if you want a laugh, here’s the bronco ebike. Apparently the motocross-style saddle is awesome for exploring long trails where you can make the most of the 60 mile range. just in case you want your balls to fall off.
