Pinky. Man oh man. He had the fastest time after going down in the start hut.

A few notes:
I'm pretty sure Tahnee Seagrave and Amaury Pierron are the only riders to qualify in Q2 and go on to win the race.
Vali Höll has now earned more than 200 points in 7 consecutive races. The lowest amount of points she earned this year was 170 in the first race of the season. She has also been on the podium in 7 straight races, which also leads all Elite riders.
Jackson Goldstone's 65 points in today's race is his lowest point total for a race where he qualified in Q1.
Notes on the points standings after 8 races:
Women Elite: Vali Höll is now in 1st by 127 points over Gracey Hemstreet with 2 races remaining. Her consistency has to make her a solid favorite to win the overall for the 3rd straight year.
Men Elite: Loic Bruni moved into 1st place by 100 points over Jackson Goldstone. He was 195 points back after 5 races. Bruni won the overall in 2023 and 2024, but it's worth remembering that 2024 was an injury year for Goldstone (and he went 2nd overall in 2023, with a win at Mont-Ste.-Anne in the final race that year).
Women Juniors: If Rosa Zierl places 5th or better in each of the final 2 races, no one can catch her for the overall. She only finished as low as 5th once this year and has been on the podium in the other 7 races, with 4 wins in that stretch.
Men Juniors: Too close to even begin to guess who'll win the overall. Max Alran leads Asa Vermette by only 22 points and Till Alran is just another 19 points back in 3rd. The only thing to note is how solid Asa has been the 2nd half of the season, with three 2nd place finishes and 1 win.
No idea if they'll post a full-race video also.
Wish there was more backstory on Zierl. Like how is it another Austrian girl is poised to dominate. I wonder how she will do in elites. It's not like Austria is one of the most notable DH countries. Is this gonna be considered the 'Vali Holl effect'? Or basically just coincidence...
Jacko got hit by the world champs curse
I can see the men's overall going all the way to the final round at this point
it is crazy Jacko went 25th. Vali went 3rd (not too bad). Max A went 4th.
Only person who swerved the curse was Zierl.
Also didn't Asa have the champs jersey, not getting a win all season, then win his first world cup back from losing it? Jeez
(superstition is fun when you ignore all the rainbow jerseys that do get wins lol)
I guess Loris has struggled a bit as well. He should have taken advantage today!
Not Vali though she seems alright.
Not getting the real dirt from the Wynterviews at this round is a huge loss. The stories! The drama! Who’s gonna fly Wyn around next year?? Continental, make some room in the budget, for crying out loud!
I just saw that yesterday was Danny Hart's birthday.
Happy Birthday, no doubt: A top 10 finish, less than 2 seconds behind the winner!
They sang Happy Birthday to him in the finish corral. Nice.

Good result for Danny, his birthday and his 120th World cup start. Hopefully they have got to the bottom of whatever bike setup issues he was having, and he has a good end to the season. The bike setup issues were mentioned by Greg in the QuarterHP podcast recently.
Fast AF's "debrief" video.
For those who don't speak French, there are English subtitles. Plus, they interview Pinkerton and Dunne and that's in English. (Surprise, though: Tahnee does her interview in French. As they say in France: "Incroyable."
Pinkerton doesn't seem to know what happened at the start gate. His interview starts at 6:19 in the video if you want to skip ahead. Ronan's immediately after Pinkerton.
Tahnee grew up in Morzine so is pretty fluent in French
bah ouais,
Her and Kilmurray have been doing their interviews with him in french for years
I only started watching their debrief videos this year and hadn't seen her interviewed before, so I was happy to see how effortless it was for her. I'm thinking I've seen Gracey Hemstreet also speak French, but maybe I'm not remembering correctly.
Every time something like this comes up, I think of this video:
luckily drones are smaller these days, but still...
The one we've all been waiting for. 1:58 is PURE FILTH!!!!
😮😮😮
somewhere in the men’s XC broadcast RicMc went absolutely N1N0 levels on the location name: he had like 8 or 9 layers of geographical specificity, right on down to like “northwest corner of Bike Kingdom Wheelplex flow zone.” He’s certainly trolling you guys with a smile on his face.
Looking back through the results from this race I am a little confused. In junior women Maxima Jaax qualified 10th but didn't do a finals run and Elise Porta qualified 12th but did do a finals run. https://www.ucimtbworldseries.com/results/2025/bike-kingdom-lenzerheide-2025
Sorry if this has been covered and I missed it, but does anyone know what happened?
I don't know if that page has accurate results. On UCI's live timing page it shows Porta qualifying 7th with Jaax in 11th. Porta finished 8th in the finals.
In the UCI WC standings, Porta is shown having 15 points and Jaax isn't listed, which means she's got 0 points for the year.
That was Porta's qualifying position before having a rerun (red flag) and bumping Jaax out of the finals.
Ahh, that makes sense - thanks!
