Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
Colour choice for splits was confusing. Green is for when you are ahead not behind.
Elite men quali live timing underway (angel in first, loic 2nd as i type this!) - https://prod.chronorace.be/angular/results.html#/uci/event/20230608_mtb…

aside from graphics and getting used to commentary, it was so rad seeing those sketchy juniors slay today! stoked for more!
Hill 83rd
Meier Smith 63rd
Matt Walker, Dean Lucas, Thibaut Laly, George Branigan, Dylan Maples (USA), Adam Brayton....all outside top 60.
There's a lot of fast guys in 20 to 30... bonkers. Making the top 30 cut is gonna be tough!
Antoine Pierron, Fairclough, Breeden, Sherlock all still to come along with Cathro, Dylan Conte (USA).
Those are most all the possible ones still to come who could qualify.
Looks like Lucas Cruz of Canada has a chance to stay in it, but may get bumped with that many of the above still to come.
Tyler Ervin looks to be in sitting in 53rd, but good lord there are TONS of riders still to come down track. I've never heard of most all of them. Heck there are 10 currently sitting top 60 I'd be hard pressed to know a thing about.
30th will prob be less than 5 seconds off third or fourth place tomorrow. Going to be extremely tight in finals.
Breeden didnt make the cut but Sherlock and Dak safely in has to take some of the sting out of Gwins weekend.
Suprised but also not suprised Sam Hill didnt qualify, its hard to come back in and be competitive seems this year more than ever its crazy.
Amaury just squeakin' in? Crashed?
Intense has given Gwin more issues than any other bike, time to move on…..
vital raw day 2 is up

How are people in the USA watching this? I was trying to keep up with the switch, but for me its not seamless. It seems GCN+ and Eurosport are our options. I tried Discover + with a VPN and it didn't seem to work well for whatever reason.
It would be great to be able to put it on my LG TV or Xbox One. It seems Eurosport might have that option on Xbox, but I can't actually see the event on it. GCN+ doesn't seed to be available other than on the computer.
Has anyone tried these and are they actually good at streaming? Or been able to do anything outside of their computer or phone?
Redbull was so much easier...
I have an apple tv (the hardware, lil box) and had no problem finding GCN+ in the app store and grabbing it. Seems to work fine. Watched juniors today, watched the xc race the other week. No complaints
jackson goldstone POV from today
Karma isn't real.
Voodoo dolls are though. And I think Trek has AG's.
How much do you think the best pic of his hands on hips pic would get back in the day of freelance photography?
Geez...I don't even need a damn camera to see it frozen in time, he held that pose so long. Props to VitalRAW crew for filming that moment!!!
AP is protected for all points all season, no?
Agree
Some people on the Union DH Team are going to be busy paying off their pit bets....tattoos and hair cuts!
LOL....yeah, it's Intense's fault, especially on a bike he designed from the ground up (ditching any previous Intense suspension designs). Guessing this crash had nothing to do with the bike and more to do with an unfortunate line choice. Sucks but stuff happens.
The start of this season suddenly went the way of Outdoor Motocross Nationals!
Several other familiar riders are done that II've seen elsewhere.
Back it down a notch fellas or there won't be anyone to pay.
bernard's LSD from today
So you are saying he didn't completely design this bike from the ground up and it is, somehow, the fault of Intense that they let him do it? Ok then
No more race run POVs… riders can’t share the footage for 2 days and then ESO retains all rights to the footage. BK said he’s not down with that.
Correct, Intense has been trying to build Aaron something for 3+ years has has came up short.
Dak has been doing good on the bike but seems frustrated by Intense being slow on the development of it.
Aaron is not a designer or engineer, he asks Intense for something and they deliver the best they can and for 3+ years they come up short……..
Semi Final start lists here (PDF) fastest qualifiers go last, just like a final

You obviously have not been paying attention to "who" has been developing the bike -- it is Gwin and his mechanic John Hall. Sure, Intense is funding it but everything about that bike is a direct reflection of Gwin himself. So, blame the bike but then you blame Gwin. I say poor line choice.
Ok, then they all suck
quali/semi/race POVs are allowed to be filmed but riders can't share footage for two days. new rule that i'm glad bernard finally mentioned. and the POV has to be shot on a gopro apparently (they're sponsoring the WC)! that part is so strange...limiting POV camera types. not sure if that applies to practice footage/posting too. also not sure if riders would have to give POV footage to the world cup right away or if riders could hang on to it until their personal 2 day embargo is up. sucks for bernard and others who use their blogs for a legit revenue stream and brand builder. i respect he's just not filming the runs at all.
