Yeti had this SB165 built out with Saint, a FOX 40 and 27.5-inch wheels. They may drop the fork to 190mm to make the head angle a bit less...dramatic.

Not too dissimilar from what Rocky Mountain is doing with the Slayer. Next year there will be no Maiden anymore, but the frame is approved to run with dual crowns (see Carston Storch)

In all seriousness, any combo/orientation of the DHF/DHR combo is solid. I personally prefer the DHR2 up front.

Nothing new to see here well there is and there isn't, Richie rude was rocking this setup 3 years ok over here in Oz a the Toowoomba DH race.

I do hope Yeti make a DH comeback thou with an SB200, all they would have to do is put out a limited edition paint job on 100 frames or bikes you know they would all get sold ASAP.

So are some of the pros like Ropo, etc running the DHR II in front because Maxxis is out of stock of the DHF? It's a squarer profile tire so I would think it would be less than ideal on the front?

Yeah like dannyboybiker said, that's super common. The DHF seemingly rolls faster than a DHR so I've seen a lot put it on the front. Always been a bit of an identity crisis tire in my mind haha

Haha, good question man! Around these parts, the DHR in the front is pretty rad. Racers were definitely trying different combos but the most common were Assegai, DHF, and DHR. Mostly it was all a scramble to try and find some grip on the trails.

dual crown 200mm is the same ATC height than a single crown 180mm...

180 or even less? Looking at conversations somewhere else i think it was said the 170 mm Lyrik has the same ATC as the 200 Boxxer.
