In the first line of the article it´s written, that it´s only a speculation.
And they changed the article, cause i read it first when they used this mega bullshit article from mbaction.com as source right after this crap was published.
So it´s just a guess, no confirmation guys..
This whole thread is just guessing haha,
Personally im of the opinion that all of this excitement will be kind of for nothing, i think Gwin will announce hes riding on a team for Whitely with fairly standard sponsors, maybe a surprise big name like PayPal was for CRC
Not a racing rumor here, but some big news for the Free-ride community. No confirming news yet, but i hope this is not true..

2016 Palmer Project team, no longer just a Jr. Development team with 3 pros - Lucas Cowan, Warren Kniss and Shane Leslie racing Pro and Steven Walton (youngest at 16) racing Junior. Shane and Lucas are roommates while attending Northern Arizona University. Shane and Lucas are new to the team this year.
From left to right, Lucas Cowan, Steven Walton, Warren Kniss, Shane Leslie.
Dean Lucas confirmed on Intense Factory Racing. This just in from the official Team Launch that just took place.
Ivan Jimenez: tech manager and founder of the rebirth of intense factory racing.
Bernat guardia: after retiring in 2015, Bernat is taking the roll as team manager for the team.
Jack Moir: Jack wasn't in attendance for the official team launch as he's at home mending a broken collar bone sustained during team training.
Nick Nestoroff: moving up in the ranks from the Palmer Project, Nick joins Intense to compete at all World Cups in the Junior category. Palmer has made Nick a deal, "win the Jr overall, I'll buy you a caddie."
Luca Cometti: local pinner, Luca Cometti joins the squad for his first full year of World Cup racing. As a local to intense, Luca has been a big part in the development of the M16C.
Dean Lucas: Intense's mystery has finally been revealed.

I didn't want to be one of those guys to say it but all clues from what I see is Gwin will be on YT.
Troy hinted on Aarons Instagram.
The Bike when zoomed up in photoshop in the last Instagram post looks like a YT.
The announcement was meant to be Tuesday and someone picked up on this asking Aaron what happened to the announcement, Gwin commented back saying something come up so its been pushed back a week. I was thinking this could be due to Kelly Mcgarry passing away and it hitting the YT crew hard and out of respect not going public with the Gwin signing.

I think he means the new 2016 stuff, meaning the same frames, but the 2016 models. Also, I'd say the argument about postponing a week due to tragic the passing of Kelly (may he rest in peace) does hold water. Just because one of the YT guys posted a few forum pics doesn't mean anything. I doubt they'd do a weeklong media blackout. That makes no sense, but postponing news like Gwin coming on board does, because that's going to get so much attention and acknowledgement that it would take some of the attention off the tragic loss the bike community just dealt with. I don't think they'd want that to happen for obvious understandable reasons. Posting a few pics of the 2016 frames doesn't take and focus from anything. I think the postponement of Gwins announcement almost confirms YT, although if he is signing for a different company they might postpone it for the exact same reasons.

in the lower left corner is a box about likes and angel suarez is obviously liking yt or vice versa, dont know how that works.
Also dont know if thats news but fits to the story you posted.
Part of me thinks "wow, this has gotten way out of hand, its JUST bike racing". Sort of feel Gwin is being arrogant with taking so long to tell us the news. It almost feels as if its a PR stunt or something to garner even more Kanye West like attention.
Then I realize its me that is being arrogant and narcissistic. (please, racer-sir, give me YOUR team on MY timing terms) And its also likely a result of him running his own team...if the Chad Reed rumor is true.
No doubt he's trying to lead, put something together on his terms, not follow the path laid out for him (be a team member on an existing team). So its going to take more time to hammer out all the details, all the contracts, all the bits and pieces. And chances are he's not as well versed on this side of the sport (with or without Martin) as he is as a bike racer.
Anyway - I think that's the reason we're here waiting. He's watching out for himself as number one. Who can blame him? Your time as a bike racer is short. Make that paper while you can.
